Everybody Lay off Janeane!
Big Hollywood ^ | April 20, 2009 | Tom Shillue

Posted on 04/21/2009 3:13:56 AM PDT by rightwingintelligentsia

I like her. And yes, she is funny. If you’ve only seen her on political talk shows, you’re going to have to take my word for it.

I did a show with her in NYC the other night, and she was delightful. A small room in the West Village, packed with people, everyone laughing. She’s a comedian, and a good one. I prefer her more personal material to the political stuff, but that’s the way I feel about most comedians. After the show we spoke, and at one point I reminded her that I’m kind of right-wing. “That’s you’re problem,” she said, and then we got back to the friendly talk. We went on to have a great conversation and share some laughs. On a personal level, I always have a good time with her, and you would too. Believe me.

Here’s my point: I sense a little misplaced anger over her comments about the tea parties. It strikes me as a Captain Renault-like expression of shock. In order to take great offense at what she said we have to ignore the fact that the very same thing is said, in more subtle ways, every day. The left never stops accusing the right of racism.

“A lot of people agree with Janeane Garofalo. Even people who are right of center- which is why so many mainstream Republicans politicians want nothing to do with those tea party folks–they’d rather keep them at arms length.”

Mainstream Republican politicians = RINO’s.

In a fight between that guy and Tucker Carlson, there wouldn’t be a solid punch landed. They’d be down to scratching.

Hell no.

You don’t get a free pass calling hundreds of thousands of people racist for protesting their families being enslaved by the government by extreme spending and taxation.

If she wants to apologize that’s another thing but she’s not doing that is she. She’s not sorry for what she called people who did nothing to her.

she is asked to give her opinion on TV because she is blunt and opinionated

Funny, I'm blunt and opinionated, but no one ever asked me to give my opinion on TV. Hmm, must be something else, then. Any guesses?

She’s a comedian, and a good one.

I've seen her act. Who am I gonna believe, this friend of hers or my own lyin' eyes?

His position seems to be that she didn't call him a fascist to his face, so she's okay. Wow, talk about a self-hating type.

“That’s you’re problem,” she said

I don't doubt that's what she said, or that she'd spell it in exactly in this way, either.

I hope this kind of writing is not going to be the norm on the much-ballyhooed Breitbart Hollywood site. But I guess he let it in to prove how well-rounded and non-exclusionary the site could be.
There were no points Shillhue made that amounted to anything. Janeane Garafalo has gone deeper and deeper into this misanthropy, and is such a perennial political novice she doesn’t recognize a demagogue like Obama and his Administration when she sees them. She seems to be led to her opinion by the implicit question that Bush was a big deficit spender too, why weren’t you people out there protesting then? (And if she later said that she might have a tiny point to make) Well, lots were, and the Dems thought Bush didn’t spend ENOUGH, so they doubled and tripled down on his spending , in addition to diverting it ONLY to those policies and programs that were institutionalize Leftism as the permanent ruling theory of American politics, however long it could reign before bankrupting the entire country.
No, the only highlight in this piece was the two sentence quote from the great Morgan Freeman. I never heard that before. I guess he’s a racist too.

...she was delightful...

Isn't that just precious? Did you and Meghan go out for a latte after the show?

We are in the verge of the largest expansion of federal government in history, and we are racists if we protest this move to fascism?

Also, she is not a politician–she is asked to give her opinion on TV because she is blunt and opinionated.

Problem is that this skank has tried to set herself up as some sort of left-wing political commentator instead of staying on the comedy circuit. Now that Conservative big guns are turning on her for her obnxious statements, she's feeling the heat for the first time, and she and her buddies now want everyone to back off.

Wah!

As I mentioned at our sister site -here-- this morning:

If you say so, Tom,

...but here are two other takes on the Great Greasy Tattoo'd Tart that are more in line with my own thinking:

Black Like Janeane Garofalo

"Cuz Lawd knows, we kaints do dis for ourselfs."

As a black man, I love it when ignorant white women like Janeane Garofalo speak for all blacks. It's thrilling to me that Janeane would take time out of her busy Hollyweird life to protect me and my peeps -- the downtrodden, the oppressed...the lowly Negro.

For her efforts, I thank Garofalo, and anoint her Janeane Garofalo: White Chick Protector of the Lowly Negro.

Who better than she to offer such protection? Garofalo, after all is an American hero! And I bet you were wondering who could possibly replace the likes of Barbara Streisand or Susan Sarandon…Madonna?

Garofalo is so in touch with the black condition, that she is uniquely qualified to assess and understand my people's "condition." Her intimate knowledge of blacks allows her to interpret how blacks think, and then translate "black-think" for the rest of America. "Cuz Lawd knows, we kaints do dis for ourselfs."

Janeane Garofalo, meet Katrina Pierson

April 20, 2009 04:49 PM by Michelle Malkin

Just watch. Katrina Pierson, a young mother who spoke at the Dallas Tea Party, sends a clear message to race-card playing twits like Janeane Garofalo: “Not all of us are hypnotized.”

Here is a political axiom I tell all liberals. They don’t understand it, but that is expected.

“The amount of your freedom is inversely proportional to the size of the government.”

Here’s a good video about government.

More copies of this sign needed for the event;

“Hey Obama & Congress?
The Constitution was written
to protect us FROM YOU.

"I couldn’t care less how much melanin Obama has in his damned skin. Or in yours. Or in anyone’s, for that matter. You’re not going to convince anyone here that socialism is good by calling us all racists, you jerk."

Could it be that this hypersensitivity to racism indicates a denial of some racial equality issues within the liberal movement itself?

"This is EXACTLY what I have been saying for years….I am a reformed leftie…once I got off drugs, cleared my head and got an education, I scrambled to the conservative side. But looking back..I see the true racism in America comes directly from the lefties…the last thing a neo-Dem flower child (perfect example, J Garofalo) wants to see is an educated clear thinking black woman taking them to the proverbial woodshed..their worst nightmare. To them, this young woman doesn’t know her place…she should be in the projects, on welfare and complaining about her life to race baiting politicians."

A) She’s funny, I’ll agree. Before I knew she was so retarded, I actually enjoyed her comedy much as I did Rosie O’Donnell.

B) I don’t care how funny she is, she called me a racist. She’s dead to me, or at least I will talk about how much of a retarded b*tch she is from here on.

C) She deserves everything she gets. Being political does not give her the right to blast a judgement and insult on hundreds of thousands of people because she disagrees with them.

Here's the list of advertisers for ‘24’, from last night's broadcast. Perhaps they'd like to hear what we think of Garafolo.

Hyundai, Sprint, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Schick, Mac, Mercedes Benz, Olive Garden, AT&T, Sun Trust, BMW, Lexus, Home Depot, Honda, T-Mobile, Chili's, Exxon Mobil, Visa, Nissan, Acura TL, Regions Bank, Toyota.
