COLUMBIANA, Ala. Five men dead in an apartment. In a county that might see five homicides in an entire year....
A type of crime, and criminal, once foreign to this landscape of blooming dogwoods had arrived in Shelby County . Sheriff Chris Curry felt it even before he laid eyes on the grisly scene. He called the state. The FBI. The DEA. Anyone he could think of.
"I don't know what I've got," he warned them. "But I'm gonna need help."
The five dead men lay scattered about the living room of one apartment in a complex of hundreds.
Some of the men showed signs of torture: Burns seared into their earlobes revealed where modified jumper cables had been clamped as an improvised electrocution device. Adhesive from duct tape used to bind the victims still clung to wrists and faces...
"We became a hub without knowing it," Sheriff Curry says. "We've got to wake people up because we're seeing it all over the place. It is now firmly located throughout this country."
Unless you have a 50-foot wall around your town, no one should feel immune from this. The citizen in me says, `I can't believe this is happening in my town.' But the cop in me says, `Well, it's only a matter of time' ... because there are high-level drug traffickers in the area.
"They moved their home bases to these little pockets."
One reason for that shift is the ability these days to "blend in in plain sight," as the Atlanta DEA chief puts it. The flood of Hispanic immigrants into American communities to work construction and plant jobs helped provide cover for traffickers looking to expand into new markets or build hubs in quiet suburbs with fewer law officers than the big cities.

And that is why we must stop the flow of those who may be "decent" people especially coming in illegally. They are nothing but camouflage.
Shelby County = Heart of the Heart of Dixie.
Yep. Drug dealers, saboteurs, terrorists, come on in...
That’s it, this is too dangerous. I am calling 911 to demand that somebody come up up here to get these guns out of my house.
Yes, it’s all over this country, but DHS is worried about you and me!

Gang violence is on the rise in Medford.[Oregon]
In this week’s Crimestoppers, we take a closer look at the growing gang problem in this area.
Police have arrested six people associated with three gang attacks in just the past few weeks.
The most recent attack, police say, three teenagers beat up a 29-year-old father from Ashland while he was eating with his wife and child at the food court in the mall on Saturday.
Gangs have been in the area for years, but now some say the gang members are getting more dangerous and reaching new levels of violence.
Police say four gang members jumped a 16-year-old in Medford late last month, severely fracturing his jaw.
Police say this local highschoolers’ been hit by a gang before.
Lt. Tim Doney with Medford Police says, “we believe this particular man was targeted twice by the group because he wouldn’t join the gang.”
Matt Sweeney works with incarcerated youth gang members and those trying to get out.
“We’re being invaded,” he says.

Coming soon to an Amexican barrio near you, thanks to our Quisling traitors.
Much of this internecine in the gangs, but it’s getting troublesome when attacks begin on people who refuse gang invitations.
Look at the bright side....
Illegal alien thugs from Mexico have come to the U.S. to kill other illegal alien thugs from Mexico that our government will not deal effectively with...
Perhaps we SHOULD be grateful the murderous Mexican thugs came to do the job that Americans are unwilling to do!
Right?
Then sit back on their lying you know what and say LOOK WHAT WE DID Problem solved!
I’m sure that if and when we give them full citizenship they will renounce their evil, illegal ways and be productive members of the American Society !!! Right !
We are still quiet and peaceful around here, so far.
Geraldo thinks we are all racists for wanting to keep this crap out of our communities /s
Wake Up America!
I respectfully have to disagree. I'm more than willing to take these slugs out. Have Ruger .357, will travel. :)
Here’s an article about guns going to Mexico...the cartels have their ‘anchor babies’ and winners of the last amnesty working for them. The problem is NOT our guns, it is Mexico’s population entrenched in this country.
A Houston man was sentenced Friday to just over eight years in prison for helping buy more than 100 military-style firearms, some of which ended up in the hands of Mexico’s violent drug cartels.
Prosecutors say John Phillip Hernandez was one of the main members of an organization of 23 people who purchased 339 weapons in a 15-month period. At least 40 of the weapons have been recovered in Mexico and three have been found in Guatemala, according to court documents.
Hernandez was sentenced after pleading guilty in July to one count of making a false statement to a federal firearms licensee.
Buying weapons is legal in Texas, but the purchaser must fill out a government form that indicates whether the purchaser plans to keep the gun for himself or give it to a third party. Hernandez claimed the guns were for himself.
Prosecutor Mark White said Hernandez knew that the guns he bought, or had others buy for him, at Houston-area gun dealers in 2006 and 2007 were going to Mexican drug cartel members. Informants indicated Hernandez told them the guns would be going to Mexico and that they overheard him talking about the Zetas, the Gulf cartel’s infamous hit men, White said.
And we can all thank GWB’s refusal for eight years as POTUS to secure the borders and DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS.
Just good family values people, doing jobs Americans won 't do.
