Many times I have wanted to strangle the person in the car ahead of me who has Chrystal's hanging from their mirror. When the sun hits them it makes a blinding flash to the eyes of the person in the car behind.

If a cop wants to stop you, he will find a reason. Something hanging from the mirror would serve that purpose quite well.

If that dangler happens to make a political statement that the cop doesn’t agree with, especially now that DHS has branded all of us as subversives, a tea bag would be a perfect excuse.

The TEA parties are a solid start (there were about 5,000 in Olympia, WA, where the wife and I were). But we, the people, have to follow up by having “Push Back Until” events later this year, early next year, and for as long as we have to: http://pushbackuntil.com.

Too bad you don’t hang a tea bag and fight the citation, make the news, and become famous. Another thought, you would be surprised by the number, of officers, that would not “see” the tea bag smile and drive on with a smile on their face.

I got the tea bag boxes out of the pantry, dumped the bags into a zip lock and cut out the big tea bags images in the cardboard...taped one to the top of my windshield where the view is already blocked by the RVM and then one at the top of the back window...Your states may vary but in mine, as long as you have a left and right outside rvm, there is no restrictions on blocking the view of the back window.

I've already had a few honks and waves.

I don't want to minimize the hassle of getting a ticket, but isn't it an overbearing government whether it be high federal taxes or whether it be silly local laws, that we need to change?

A tea bag, as puny as it is, is not a hazard when it hangs from the rvm. Hang the sucker.

That's a good law IMO. I've seen cars with so much crap hanging I don't see how they could see to drive.

So...because some people hang a lot of crap from their mirror, we need a law that also punishes people who hang items that don't obstruct the view at all?
