VANITY: folks tying tea bags to rear view mirrors?

Posted on 04/17/2009 7:28:27 AM PDT by gogulls

I searched the site before posting this: are folks tying tea bags to rear-view mirrors? Just tied two on my SUV (separated by my tree air-freshener, that is)

RE: “Ahhh... the ‘lowest common denominator’ theory. Like why my daughter can’t take a bottle of water to school... because someone at one time put vodka in their water bottle.”

***********

Makes me laugh — back in the sixties I took some bourbon from a house (I was babysitting there) and put it in a cleaned out cologne bottle I had, stuck it in my purse and added it to the “punch” they sold in the cafeteria at lunchtime.

Boy, did I think I was getting away with something! That was way before the days of people carrying water with them wherever they went and before cell phone or even pocket calculators!

No one went through purses back then or questioned a thing. Funniest part was that I got absolutely NO “high” from this silliness at all. A few drops of bourbon in a big cup of punch is not gonna give anyone a buzz...........but it sure was fun.

It’s all well and good to hang them outside your car until it rains.

Then you have soppy tea bags dripping tea all over your car.

I live in PA and I couldn’t care less what law there is about obstructing my view. A tea bag will stay there regardless of the fine.

Civil Disobedience has to start somewhere.

How about a pirate hanging from a noose?
That could apply to a lot of things, most apropos would be most members of Congress.

I can see where one or two hanging from lamp posts in front of the house and senate would be a suitable object lesson.

One could have a sign, “I spent unwisely!”.
The other could have a sign, “I taxed unwisely”.

I think the others would get the message.
With power comes responsibility.

I poured some premixed tequila sunrise leftover from one of my parents patio parties into a container, like it was my lunch. I was too buzzed from getting away with it to get buzzed! lol

I will wear buttons, a T-shirt, etc, dissing Obama but I won’t put anything on my car. It’s just asking to be ‘keyed’ by those ‘nice’ liberals out there.

At Christmas here - my liberal NYC sister was already aware of why I had my Op-Chaos T-Shirt

She did not like Hillary, Hussein Junior, or McCain before the election

But by Christmas she already knew he was/is the killer of her 401K and the stock market and housing and the banks

And is (very) quiet about his many many CHANGE agendas

She says: “I know.....”

“I agree.....”

A radical departure from what my liberal NYC sister thought and said before -

It is amazing how (some) liberal people CHANGE when the radical left quickly cuts their 401K and their investments into a 201K in a few months

Suddenly CORPORATIONS were not so evil when they were making money for liberals before Hussein II panicked Wall Street and the banks and investors

And they see GM is about to lay off another 5000 auto workers and Chrysler-(Fiat?) will have a Board of Directors and a new CEO chosen by Hussein II

I know that my very liberal and gay hair dresser feels the same way as your sister. I can tell by his expression, he is very sheepish.

[She says: “I know.....”, “Iagree.....”]

Wow, that is a big change for her and I hope it’s happening with many others. Many people won’t speak up about it though. It’s always hard for some people to admit they were wrong. Must be an ego thing.

When the libs start paying $4-$5-$6 a gallon for gasoline and having to buy only ugly dinky dangerous little cars designed by Hussein Junior and their food bills double because of GREEN BS and their electric bills “skyrocket” as Junior says they will -

Hussein Juniors’ plan is to force people into new subsidized “highspeed” rail and trains and out of cars and trucks

The more well off libs will notice it more. The poor already get their utilities ‘adjusted’ but gasoline will always hurt them.

Food and other items will hit them

Obama has little to give them to subsidize those - as his bailouts and gieaways have already burned the Social Security that was not supposed to go broke until another 17-18 years

SS is now taking in less than it pays out - just since Obama got in and started throwing trillions down a - big - black - hole -

So lets add 11-21+ million illegal aliens and their extended hands, tongues, families - another 30-40 million

We will soon have another 50-60 million of more here if Hussein Junior gets his Shamenesty

And the current 8% + unemplyment rate will zip up to over 14% -

And American black citizens will be “hardest hit” as the many illegals given Shamnesty will be joined by more ILLEGALS - again

Black unemployment under Obama will exceed 25%

And they will demand a bailout

To be paid for by honest American citizen whites and Asians and centuries Americans of Spanish descent - often ranchers and farmers on the border - they are often the victims of violent illegals - killers, rapists, thieves, drug mules, dealers, kidnappers, arsonists, partners with Muslim terrorists too

I can't begin to address all that you wrote. He can't keep doling it out as he has been, people are mad already and it will get much worse. I read they will have another round of tea parties on July 4th and something in DC on Sept 12.

Have to take a break from bad news sometimes or it gets to you.
