Acknowledging that “an apology is owed,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano promised Thursday to “meet and clear the air” with veterans groups that were offended by her agency’s report citing “returning veterans” as terrorist risks to the U.S.
“To the extent veterans read it as an accusation,” Napolitano told FOX News, “an apology is owed.”
“I’ll meet with the leaders of some of the veterans groups,” she promised on “FOX & Friends.” “The last thing we want to do is offend or castigate all veterans. To the contrary, let’s meet and clear the air.”
Napolitano said she was briefed on the report, including the warning about returning veterans, before it was released.

“I have to tell you, I was the United States Attorney for Arizona in the 90’s when Tim McVeigh bombed the Murrow building in Oklahoma City and unfortunately he was a vet — that’s where he got his training,” she said. “And so when I was told about the report, it rang true with me. This has happened in the past.”

Thanks for the link... I would also suggest Jayna Davis’ “The Third Terrorist”. I spoke with Jayna shortly after the OU Bombing when Rte66(may she RIP), and I were investigating the people “around” that together online. The people, businesses, connections, etc... that Rte66 and I uncovered were the SAME PEOPLE that Davis uncovered in her investigation of the OKC bombing. The SAME PEOPLE — the SAME PEOPLE that are now working “with” the OK Government in their little “diversity committees” as well! The SAME PEOPLE who gave support to the TERRORISTS who took their flight lessons in Norman, OK, the same people who are continually IGNORED by the FBI in relation to ALL of these TERRORIST incidents...
Sorry, but this topic just REALLY gets to me. These asses are accusing God-Fearing, Freedom-loving Americans of plotting to destroy our country, but INSIST on IGNORING the REAL THREATS, to push their COMMUNIST agenda. As you noticed, 2ndDivisionVet, Napolitano never investigated the Oklahoma City bombing to any significant extent. She merely adopted the Clintonista line that McVeigh and Nichols were the only individuals in the Oklahoma City plot.
The truth is that there is excellent evidence pointing to Saddam Hussein's Iraqi intelligence agents as the masterminds of the bombing, while McVeigh and Nichols were merely pawns in the operation. (See Jayna Davis, The Third Terrorist, Nashville, TN: WND Books, 2004).

The important thing that is being missed her is that we only got a look at the unclassified portion of the document. I’ll bet that the classified portion lays out the plan of action for how they are to deal with “extremists”. Americans should DEMAND that the entire document be released along with the bibliography.
On another thread someone pointed out that one section of the report was WORD-FOR-WORD a QUOTE from the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center), but unattributed. I’d have to investigate that myself as the FReeper didn’t provide more than that, but it wouldn’t surprise me ONE BIT. It SOUNDS like all the drivel the left has spewed out for YEARS on this issue, trying to tear others down and make themselves look “good”.
Some years ago I knew several people who were part of the JPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership), and after a protest they attended where they wore a “star of David” on their clothes to remind people that GUN CONTROL led to the NAZI’s extermination of Jews, the SPLC actually tried to say these JEWISH PEOPLE who had protested, and were trying to say “Never Again” were actually ANTI-SEMITES and “neo-nazis”! They are very BOLD when it comes to their LIES, that’s for SURE...
