Tell you r, read up on Sam Adams and his response to the insurrectionists of Shay’s Rebellion. Once you’re done that, read the history of the Civil War, which, as you will learn, the secessionist traitors LOST.

If Texans and others swept up in a form of mass, though still of a tiny, tiny, minority, lunacy over losing an election think treason is the answer, well, as with most choices in life, there will be consequences arising from that choice, just as there was in 1861.

Oh, and r, don’t think for a moment that US Attorneys across the country aren’t fully aware of the treasonous talk and dangerous threats made against government officials by posters on the internet. I assure you they are and for that reason, any “quintessentially “American”” revolt or secession will be over almost before it starts, thank God!

Jim warned about this some time ago...be careful what you post...I got the impression that this site was being monitored. This secession talk is just nuts.

[...] Shay’s Rebellion [...] the Civil War, which, as you will learn, the secessionist traitors LOST.

So it is your conclusion that might makes right? How mundane.

Since you seem to be so fond of Sam Adams:

The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men. -Sam Adams

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen. -Sam Adams

If men, through fear, fraud, or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up any natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of society would absolutely vacate such renunciation. The right to freedom being the gift of Almighty God, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave. -Sam Adams

All might be free if they valued freedom, and defended it as they should. -Sam Adams

You are somehow under the misguided notion that this is over "losing an election".

As for treason, it walks the halls of power, and has for some time - seemingly with your tacit approval, as you would not lift a hand to remedy it, and would call those who would, "treasonous".

I am a peacable man, and like all Americans, would much prefer an amicable solution but sooner or later, one must draw a hard line. I would prefer it to be "sooner", while we still have the means to defend that line.

And as to the consequences, had our fathers been so timid as to be warned off by consequences, we would all be German thralls right now. Freedom has it's price.

Ahh! So my right to free speech has gone the way of my right to hunt the King's deer, eh? Shall I quail and shiver and hide under the bed? You obviously do not understand how Western (and Southern) men think at all. Your threat just makes the broader threat even more apparent, and steels the resolve to speak out all the more. And do not thank God. Such a threat is not His doing. Thank "Big Brother", in whom your trust and confidence rests in this matter. As Sam Adams said, I hope your chains rest lightly on your shoulders.
