I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.
I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.
Please give the location and number of participants.
I'll go first:
Melbourne, FL - 1000.
WOW go Cavuto!! Great Job there everyone who attended.
Hillsborough was at least 250 and maybe 300. Hard to get in and out of there, one road... solid turnout.
Hey Leni! President Obama was a ‘community activist’. Do you think he expected this many people to organize against him without any political support?
Pensacola, Florida
Attendance at TEA Party was about 3,000
Here are estimates from local media.
http://www.kmbc.com/money/19187153/detail.html
Lee’s Summit, MO 300 people
Liberty Memorial, Kansas City, MO 3,000 people
Overland Park, KS (Johnson Co. Comm College) 10,000 people
I saw a Freeper Report Ottawa, KS (my small hometown) 70 people
PING!
BOSTON......What a day! Fanstastic day and what a crowd. Sparky1776 will post pics tomorrow, I believe he shot over 600 pics. Best chant of all...guy in the crowd “Hang Barney Frank” Wait to you see the pic of the lady who wore a Obama mask, tan body suit and tights and a pair of BVD’s, with her was a giggles Elmo baloon with the saying “The empororer has no clothes” That lady was brave and probably a little chilly!
FREEEDOM!!!!!!!!!!
This site may be able to help. It has info on many (if not all) the Teaparties: http://taxdayteaparty.com/
right . . . in my neighborhood . . . it sounded like a big sporting event . . . superbowl . . . lots of cheering with TV in the background.
I’m sure we had 1000 people at Roanoke Virginia.

Right around 200,000 at post 324. Do you suppose CNN will revise their “tens of thousands” headline any time soon?
Being KY, that doesn’t surprise me in the least! Great Job Paducah!
Denver had a great rally. I made the first hour and thanked the 4 motorcycle cops sitting on Colfax, just calmly watching. Then I had to follow some old dude (okay, mid 50’s, same as me) walking down the street, complaining that we haven’t even given bimbo a chance yet. But I was good, no trouble.
I ran into someone this afternoon who had been to the Richardson TX rally - they said about 300 there.
Sarasota would be FL
Appleton would probably be Wisconsin.
Just got back from 2nd San Jose CA Tea Party. 2,000 seems good. Bus load of ACORN(?) came in. Counted 17 cop cars. Lines of riot police. ACORN marching around. Signs: “AMENESTY NOW” and “RACISTS.” After hour or so police segregated them to one area. They chanted throughout singing of Star Spangled Banner. They turned flag upside down with and some insult written on it (people got pictures & I’m told they will be on resist.net. I’ll post if I can find them.) Silicon Valley is the heart of the beast. One anxious young woman showed me printouts of DHS directives from interenet. She was afraid, but said it was the right thing to do. The ACORN(?) people were bussed in on a very expensive, nice tour bus. I passed out flyers listing many of the things congress has passed or is debating. Got many thanks. Many people were well aware of the bills. None of us came on expensive busses.
7,000 in Hoover, AL from this news report.
500 at the U of AL Tuscaloosa campus by this news report
More than a thousand at the state capitol, Jackson, MS according to this video news report.
from the photos, looks like several hundred in Mandeville, LA, and they dumped tea into Lake Pontchartrain.
I cannot even estimate. 3,000? 4,000? Couldn't see the end of the rally. Could have been a lot more. I met up with 3 other FReepers beforehand and we made our way over. We ended up close to the front so we don't really know how far back the crowd went, but it went!
Great speakers, great crowd, no disruptions of any kind where we were. Newt went on at 9:23pm and spoke for a few minutes. But all the speakers were great.
Had a great time. Pics coming from the other FReepers who were there.
Excellent turnout for the little bitty sized town of Cottonwood AZ!!!
Beaverton, Oregon - 500 (minimum)
Watched the crowds cross Farmington Road, a good 50-75 at a time per walk signal, at least eight times when we finished at 6:30 p.m., with small straggler groups after that. So I would say at least 500, possibly 650 (max) on the high side. We didn’t have a huge venue for gathering. Just waved at the cars going by. Had a few ‘thumbs downers’ and one really vocal driver with the ‘He inherited all this from Bush’ mantra. Oh wait, this wasn’t about 0bama, sorry I slipped. Anyways (oops, sorry, slipped again, we’re all uneducated, you know) half the driver were oblivious to what was going on and the other half layed on the horns and gave us ‘thumbs ups’. I was thrilled to see some drivers when stopped in the traffic at a red light were fumbling around in their cars and finally a whipping out American flag. Huge cheers from the assembled crowd.
