I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.
I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.
Please give the location and number of participants.
I'll go first:
Melbourne, FL - 1000.
nutmeg, race -- ping to 272
Just got back from the Tampa rally. My eyes said about 2,000 at the peak. We were in Gas Light Park downtown, and at least a third to half of the park was packed with folks. Somebody there said the park would hold 10,000 full on, so my estimate might be a little light, but I’m comfortable with the 2,000 number.
Besides the numbers turning out, the fact that we live in a blue state with the west side being extremely liberal should be giving our representatives a real message.
According to the Scum Sentinel, there were at least 2,500 at the Fort Lauderdale rally.
There were two today in Augusta, Maine. We attended the 2:00 to 5:30 one. My guess is 200+
There was a signup sheet so maybe a better number will come along.
The second Tea Party was 5:30 to 7:00 PM. This was organized by a different group.

The canton repository is report about 1500 for Canton, Ohio!
This is our shot heard 'round the world!
Every county seat, every Capitol...the new American revolution showed up. The left trembles...and the CA Legislature was blocked from leaving the Capitol in CA where 10-15,000 showed up.
Signs.
The media will downplay this to avoid the image of a popular uprising. But, that's what it is and EVERY POLITICIAN IN AMERICA TOOK NOTICE.
Unfortunately, it appears Federal LEO is far TOO interested.
Southlake Texas is a tiny town. I can’t extimate crowd but it was large and enthusiastic and we had fun. ... noon tea party. Mark Davis was keynote.
The local fishwrap, the Asheville Citizen-Slimes says "several hundred". That's an absolutely phony number!
There were nearly that many on the courthouse steps and porch alone. When I got there, we sqeezed in at least 15 rows back and there were many people behind us. People were still coming. I would estimate, conservatively, at least 2,000 (one organizer said 3,000). My estimate is probably low as the crowd was so big I couldn't see the entire crowd except for the area I was in!
Don't believe the media estimates. They are going to low-ball the numbers!
Reporting in from Santa Ana, California (Orange County). We had over 2,000 people in attendance.
Here are some photos I took at the tea party:

Obama and company are SO afraid of Americans' rugged individualism--as well they should be. Today is a turning-point. We're sending the slimy, ignorant bums home to their mommas.
I was working one of 4 sign up booths in Houston and my rough estimate would be somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000 people, maybe even 12,000. We had people overflowing into the streets of downtown. It was alot of work, but oh so worth it!!!!
My favorite is the Reagan poster.
Just back from St. Louis, MO. Early they said 6-7,000. Later they said 10,000. My estimate was 12,000. Very nice crowd and I didn’t see a single problem.
A handful of barking Moonbats. Promised I'd post their flier, which they littered our automobiles with.
(The flier really was ALL CAPS AND I've tried to reproduce the formating>

As you can see they have the talking points down, probably just printed them out and made copies. You can see they haven't yet figured out that they don't have George Bush to kick around any more.
Did anyone else see these points, or even this flier from your allegedly local moonbats?
One moonbat was asked why she was there, her answer "Nothing else to do".
At the Belton Texas Tea Party, the question was asked, "How many are veterans?" About 90% of the male hands went up (including mine) and a few of the female hands as well. Then it was asked if this was their first protest. Most hands went up, but not a much of a majority as of veterans. Mine did not. My first was in '94 dealing with the Ugly Gun Ban, plus I trekked to Crawford to support our troops and counter the witch in the ditch.
It was a good rally, but I wish could have been at the Alamo, as I was (twice) in 2000, telling AlGore to "Get Out of Cheney's house". :)
From St. Paul, Minnesota, they estimated 10,000. The grounds in front of the capitol were packed. Lot’s of enthusiasm. It took us a good hour to get out of the parking ramp.
Woodlands, TX 6500
Really? Cool.
