I have a family member who works for Homeland Defense. Word came down yesterday that any employee or contractor caught at a tea party would face severe reprocussions. Has anyone else heard a similar account?
No..but please post more info if you get it nailed down.
How did the word come down. Names, e mail or memo are required to substantiate this claim.
If there is a leftist making such a stand, they must be exposed.
I wish he/she would copy it and send it to you (blacking out the name and addy, of course.) Would love to see that plastered. ;-)
Never heard of a “Department of Homeland Defense”.
Well, there may be individuals in Homeland Security who may say that on their own, but it may not be official policy. However, if it is official policy, then it will be written down somewhere and it will be documented.
So, have this “relative” (whomever it is) supply the official documentation and scan it and present it for us...
This will be all the evidence that we or anyone else needs to verify this.
I would be shocked if a federal entity was that in touch with current events.
I encourage them to get said directive in writing/email/photocopy. In addition to that and/or failing that, they should contact a whistleblower/ombudsman. When contacting anyone on the issue, they should cc themselves to their private email address so there *will* be a electronic trail of all inquiries and responses.
To say it another way, you are probably dealing with a single individual (or maybe others, too) who are saying this on their own, according to their own political motives and persuasions and it does not reflect the policy of Homeland Security...

I’m sure they did not leave a paper trail. It was probably a voice warning starting at the top and working it’s way down.
Smiling Fascists
You are correct... I meant DHS.
If this person is supposed to be working, and instead attends a tea party, I can understand why that would be a problem, just as I would not skip work to go to the library or register to vote. If the person has the day off, they are free to participate in such a gathering if they so desire. DHS would have a nice lawsuit on its hands if it attempted to interfere with an employees legal off-duty activities. There is not enough info in this posting to determine exactly what happened.
Dept of Homeland Security.
That was my thing as well. Take a day of vacation, or a couple of hours vacation if you place work that way. Attend the party on your time. I wanted to attend the one here but I have to work, and going in my uniform is frowned upon.
Homeland Defense?
Methinks your relative is lying to you and actually lives in a van down by the river.
Dictator Obamba!!!!
Please don’t consider this a flame, but a posting hearsay really isn’t helpful.
