Please post what is happening at your tea party here, your location and attendance...and as always, lots of pictures:)
It was just worth it reading all the hand made signs that show that we “common Americans” are mad as hell.
The city allows a stage platform where the organizers allowed anyone who were mad as hell voiced their opinions and oppositions to the bailouts, taxes etc. Some the common great Americans gave some pretty good speeches. Then someone would breakout and say the Pledge of Allegiance and everyone would join it. Then someone else would start singing God Bless America and again everyone joined in and sang God Bless America.
The cars driving by would honk their horns and gave the crowd a thumps up.
I would say our tea party is a success. The organizers are having another at the same place from 5:00pm to 7:00p.
It was inspiring and a thrilling tea party. GO USA!!!
I would have loved to be there for that one!
I estimated about the same amount. Thought it was a real good turnout with that horrific weather. Hope I don't get sick.
In that case we need to send Sarah to D.C. with a convoy of trucks loaded with teabags.
Someone made and unofficial count of 350, but most say there were more than that. Many are guessing 4-500 somewhere.
That may not sound incredible to many, but the county as a whole, is quite rural. Jefferson is a small town but lovely town with a real America feel to it.
Every age group, from a couple months old to those in their 70s and 80s, were well represented.
Congratulations to Tammy and Melanie on a job well done.
Off to the Cleveland Tea Party now.
I was on my way to the Sacramento Tea Party but my car broke down. Can anyone give me a report on Sacramento! Thanks.
I’ve not been able to keep up with this thread....
Has it been reported...
D.C. Treasury Tea Party....was stopped.

Now, Secret Service has cleared the one at LaFayette Park.

The Tennessean (of all sources) has a good liveblog post on the Party, http://blogs.tennessean.com/politics/2009/liveblogging-the-nashville-tea-party/. They estimated crowd at 2500.
Channel 4 has some pics up, http://www.wsmv.com/money/19188311/detail.html. That was the only TV I saw with a truck there. Nothing from Channel 5 - they did have a report up about Agriculture Day yesterday on TN Capitol Hill; politicians milking cows.
Melbourne FL Tea Party has concluded. Kristinn Taylor says there were 1,000 people there. TV coverage included CFN 13, which interviewed Tea Party organizer Carl (last name unknown). No other media — cameras — there as far as Kristinn knows.
Another rally is set for this Sunday at 1 p.m.at Wickham Park in Melbourne. Rep. Bill Posey is scheduled to speak. Posey is the Florida legislator who submitted HR 1503 which would require any future presidential candidate to prove his or her birth eligibility under US Constitution Art. 2 Sec. 1.
Kristinn says the area was left clean after today’s rally
We had 2,500 to 3,000 in Montgomery. Lots of excitement and electricity. I think everyone was surprised at the size of the turn out. I’ll post pictures tomorrow!!
Just got back from the Tea Party held at City Hall in Lee’s Summit, MO. There were a couple of hundred people gathered who were more fired-up than the majority of the speakers. Lots of cops taking pictures of all of us “radical right-wing extremists”.
The most interesting aspect was the local union big-wigs there trying to drum up opposition to a local developer request for city money. The developer got the local unions to back the proposal before the city several years ago and then brought in workers from another state.
Just got back from Jacksonville (FL) - a big success! There were well over 1,000 people there, and the interesting thing was that they ranged from downtown businessman types to students to moms with kids to some older people who had probably driven in from the country. What a group of terrorist extremists!
The signs were great, too (I have to admit my favorite sign was “Wake up and smell the dictator.”).
Around 7,000 at Oklahoma City, at noon today. Great crowd!
