NEWS FROM THE FRONT GATE
Tonight Week 208, we unveiled our new MOAB ( Mother Of All Banners), Last week was too windy for its coming out but tonight was just fine, breezy and mild. We had a good crowd and a lot of good conversation throughout the evening. A perfect ending to the Cherry Blossom week long festival.

(BufordP and Trooprally are also in this photo under the banner)
We want to THANK those Freepers who sent in suggestions for the MOAB. They kept us going. After deliberation, Jimmy Valentines brother had the winning slogan. Many thanks to tgslTakoma for hemming the banner which fit perfectly on the existing frames after Trooprally did some minor trimming to several poles. And thanks to Trooprally, who always strives for perfection, for painting the slogan using a template which he had drawn to scale. This was especially exciting as we started painting from the center of the banner and either painted forward or backward. Kburi had a small role in identifying what letter we were to paint next. Since we had only one banner, there was only one chance to do it correctly. And so it was
VISITORS
Several Wounded Warriors dropped by to talk with us. Among them were Andre from Florida. He has been at WR since August with an arm wound received in Afghanistan.. A little later, Lee from Chicago visited. He has been at WR for 3 months. He was with Patriot Warriors Ann and Ted. Several Patriot Guard members make hand carved canes for the Wounded Warriors. Ann and Ted bring those canes to those who need them. Lee has already put in for his next deployment.
Also joining us were Bruce and Chris, their daughter and grandson. Bruce, a Vietnam Veteran, periodically returns to WR for treatment. Its always great to visit with them.
Early in the evening, Big John, a VFW Post Commander and VietNam veteran, arrived to coordinate with Tennessee Nan to get a wheelchair to a wounded soldier in need. The wheel chair had been donated and Tennessee Nan brought it from Tennessee.
To whoever cares there were 5 motley moonbats passively doing whatever moonbats do.
There was no bus on this Easter weekend.
