How Condi did not just drop that bitch is beyond me
Look how well gun control works on ships. It’s time to arm the sailers.
I dunno, but think Obama deserves credit here for having the WILL. Without it, he wouldn't have given those orders.
It wasn't too long ago (think hours) that we were all badmouthing him for taking no action. Believe me, I was all set to relive the Jimmy carter hostage debacle and am pleasantly surprised that action WAS taken.
That’s a big problem for Obama, the fact that he doesn’t know how to delegate, doesn’t know how to make management decisions. He’s learning on the job.
It’s amazing that his very first management or executive experience on his resume is his current job of President of the United States.
I’m really amazed the range was only 25 to 30 meters, if the reports are correct.
This is “which button do you want me to hit” range for SEALs. Firing off handed, while hanging upside down from a rope.
This was virtually a “time on target” firing squad. As soon as the pirates showed 3 heads at one time, they were DEAD.
I’m sure the CO of the ship was fully briefed. “As soon as we see 3 heads, we’d like to shoot.”
“Okay, you are the experts.”
Hoooo-frikkinnn-yah!!!!!
You are right there...
Doesn’t this make Obama a war criminal? He did not even give them a fair trial.
BINGO!
"Was the hostage's life in imminent danger, Captain?"
"That's my story. Oh, that's my story. Well, I ain't got a witness, and I can't prove it, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it."
Bravo Zulu, Captain.
The shooters were on the Bainbridge some 30 meters away from the small boat. 30 meters doesn’t seem like much, don’t forget that both vessels are bobbing up and down in the water. Ever try to take a benchrest shot from a bobbing bench at a bobbing target?
red mist x 3!!!! a little muslim plinkin’ before breakfast and just outstanding shooting guys!
FoxNews is throwing pedals towards B.H.O. Ms. Banderas is almost orgasmic about it and Col. Cowan is saying that it came right from B.H.O. This is pathetic.....
I am glad though, that my prayers for this Captain were answered. I prayed for him and his family.
Absolute correct decision, no doubt; but all this emphasis on imminent danger smacks a liitle bit of protesting too much. But hey, whatever it takes to SEAL the legitimacy of three head shots (legitimacy existed the minute the pirates boarded the ship).
He deserves the credit for doing the right thing. But since he just did the very thing that he’s endlessly criticized Bush for doing, he also deserves to eat some crow.
Should have been done a long time ago
2. The standing order to take action to rescue Captain when he was in immanent danger came first on Friday and upgraded on Saturday.
3. Read somewhere on internet that Obama was calling around to other nations before Friday to get their concurrence - I would like to know if this is true??
Am I the only one who thinks that Obama and team with it’s “if you think the capt is in danger to take appropriate action” was really creating a political fig leaf for itself in that, if it fails the military screwed it up but if it suceeds, O-team will bask in the credit.....with the undying help of the liberal media.
What’s so very apparent here is that the media is trying to portray RockHead as some kind of brave warrior!!!! If W had been in the WH and the same thing would have happened, the media would have been crying in their beer about the “murder” of the three terrorists!!!!
The same ship that carries Seals also carries Marines. Marine sniper teams.
Supposedly the good guys are unarmed because they can’t dock in foreign countries with arms on board. Sounds like there’s an entrepreneurial opportunity here for someone who will load up the merchant ships with arms as they leave port and collect the arms before they dock.
