Maybe we sent in the frogs?
Now CNN reporting that the rescue was precipatated by Captain Phillips jumping overboard once again, providing the opportunity for the rescuers to shoot the pirates. If that’s true, Capt Phillips is a national treasure.
LOL, you pot stirrer you...
CNN saying the captain jumped overboard again! This time, apparently with Seals in the water.
>>Actually, the Captain alive is more than 99% good. The other less than 1% is four dead pirates. One is alive. Hope he likes watersports. Maybe they can bring back Dick Cheney as a senior adviser.
I need to brush up on my pirate math.
Let’s say the Captain being rescued is 100% good. Lets also say that 4/4 pirates would be 100% good. So that makes it 175/200. So it is 87.5% good.
We can fudge up from what me might learn from the captive and also what info he will carry back about what a mistake it is to mess with the USA — even under a cowardly and ineffective CiC.
I can't wait to read all about it in Captain Phillips best-selling book about the whole thing. Heros, all! (Please, oh please, Captain, do include Oprah, the View, Maddow or Obermann on the interview circuit.)
Yes. I especially like the dead pirates part.
Even scarier... now we depend on the frogs for our self-defense?
This is gonna make one hell of a TV Movie
Thank goodness for the Captain. Good news on this Easter and excellent job by the Navy.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Now clean out the rest of the muzzie terrorists and get the other hostages home safe!
I PRAY this is true.. and if so PTL..
just go in from church, dog walk & picking up Chinese take out..
so not into the news.. but this was the first post I saw when I refreshed Latest Posts!
Ok, so Bozo must have been reading the mail and decided he had to let the Navy act. I think the French action may have had something to do with it also. His advisers probably told him he better let the Navy do its job or he would look like a terrible wuss! Not going to give him any credit but will shower kudos onto the Navy and the Seals that took care of this situation.
Given our current president, my guess is the Captain grabbed a gun.
They have families that I'm sure the bad guys would like to take their anger out on. Anonymity is in their favor in this case. Their fellow SEALs will know what they did and recognize them for a job well done. That's probably better than any recognition the public can give them.
CNN is reportating that the pirate who is still alive was the one who was negotiating for the release of the Captain. He may have cooperated with the rescue in exchange for his life.
