WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama has declined to answer a question about the hostage situation off the coast of Somalia. The president was asked about the incident as he met with U.S. homeowners about refinancing mortgages. At the close of a Roosevelt Room event, the president was asked by a reporter if he were concerned about the piracy incident. Obama responded: "Guys, we're talking about housing right now." Reporters were then ushered out of the room as they usually are after such events. Obama has yet to comment publicly on the incident.

“Guys, we’re talking about housing right now.”

Whoa! What happened to being able to do more than one thing at a time?

You are correct—sad but true—and don’t forget Katrina—he allowed that to be percieved as his fault—although I think many of the mouthbreathers didn’t even view it in terms of Dubya.

That being said-I still don’t understand how so many people did what they did in Nov.

McCain isn’t much-but I’d vote for Meghan McCain before BO

"a lot of the reason we have O’bummer is because of George."

And, it highlights why we shouldn't elect RINO's, even good, decent guys like 43, who are so.

“a lot of the reason we have O’bummer is because of George.”

I would say that almost 100% of the reason we have the present government is the abject failure of the Republican Party, it's president and it's congress. Total unwillingness to pursue conservative values except for pro-life issues and total inability to not only propound conservative values but inability to defend those few conservative positions they took. It is so satisfying for some to blame conservatives for the election of this present government even though probably more than 90% of conservative voted (many holding their nose) for republicans. This last election was basically a referendum on the conduct of the previous administration, their handling of the economy, their domestic spending record, and the congressional scandals. That vast (probably 30% of the electorate) less politically committed electorate, said “we gave the republicans the White House and the Congress and they made a mess. We are going to give the democrats (anyone else) a go.” Like it or not that is what happened. When conservatives fail to demand real conservative values from those elected as conservatives and they fall on their face, this result is to be expected.

>Who said the rank and file of American voters are smart or make sense. Bush should have screamed bloody murder when ACORN and Barney Fag was destroying our economy. Then when they blamed Bush for the Fannie/Freddy debacle he was above it all and didn’t point the blame at who was the real fault.<

I never said Bush was perfect. He should have been screaming about a lot of things.

Still, I don’t blame Bush so much as I blame the left with their BDS and millions of idiot voters who wanted to “make history” for putting Zero in office. I also blame MSM for their biased reporting and whipping these folk into a frenzy everyday.

If you believe the “left, the BDS, and idiot voters” are responsible for the election of Obama and the democrats, then you might as well give up on any return of conservative government because these forces are ever present and conservatives can not change this. What we can change is our own conduct in demanding true conservative values of those we support and jumping down the throat of those who waffle or betray those values once elected, no exceptions. To excuse their conduct by continuing to support fake conservatives is a road to ruin. Fake conservatives can never govern successfully, never. Leftist will not govern successfully either, let them be the ones to fail just as this presidency will fail.

When I think of the potential gains that could have been made from 2000 to 2008, it sickens me to see that it was thrown away, and even the few gains made are being rapidly undone by this administration.

“And don’t forget voter fraud/ACORN.”

A story out today reported that Detroit has more registered voters than adult residents!

No surprise there. When I read that they registered homeless shelters (no doubt making up many names) I knew we were losing the election. I feel like I’m living in Crazyland.

I totally agree about his language skills. My pet peeve is his use of the word “bunch”. He says something like “guys, we have a bunch of things to do”. If he were a monkey talking about a bunch of bananas, I’d feel better. And, Michelle always says “me and Barack”. They’re both perfect examples of our education system at work.

I agree with you...especilly Bush not making a bigger issue of ACORN, Barney, Waters, Frannie/Freddie.

I'm also tired of the current mess in the WH blaming all the mess on Bush when the same Dem congressidiots are at the root of a lot of it and pretending to be "fixers" while taking no responsibily.
