Takes Dad One Week to Find Kidnapped Sons After Cops Search for 6 Months
Fox ^

An Australian father's speedy rescue of his two kidnapped sons has embarrassed Swedish police, who struggled with the case for six months.

Armed with just a pair of binoculars and a rental car, it took the unidentified man only one week to find his missing sons, aged 11 and 10, in Sweden.

"It is a genuine failing mark to the work of the police," columnist Lars Lindstrom wrote in the Swedish newspaper Expressen.

"(The father) went on leave, flew from Melbourne to Sweden and found them in a week. How did that happen?"

The boys were allegedly abducted in October last year by their Swedish mother.

She was charged with their kidnapping and became a wanted fugitive in Sweden.

...Maybe Swedish police simply sided with a Swedish mother...

Maybe they should side with the law. She was charged with kidnapping and was a fugitive from justice.

The end of the article said that a feminist group is suspected of helping the mother. I hope they get nailed to the wall. As a woman, I just don’t understand feminists.

Swedish police had earlier suggested a feminist group had helped the mother with the abduction.

This set off any alarm bells? Naturally I'd expect to see arrests and prison sentences here. Conspiracy to kidnap. I'll start holding my breath right now.

Maybe they have Tim Horton’s everywhere in Sweden too and the LEO’s just can’t stay away long enough to do their job.

That’s not really true. I’ve seen what a good LT with about 15 officers can do in an urban neighborhood, both directly and indirectly. It’s not just “presence”, but making sure the bad guys get caught fast. Also, getting other agencies involved, from housing violations to selling liquor without a licence at an impromptu sex club. (It has not come back.)

How much the police can do depends on their adaptability and the situation, but if they are good, they can do wonders. I’ve seen good hard working cops and many just getting by. There is a world of difference in the crime situation in a neighborhood over the years.

As a woman, I just don’t understand feminists.

As a man, I 100% back "equal work = equal pay", althrough many women tend to move in and out of the workforce, so it can be hard to determine the actual "experience" part of the equation. Beyond that "the movement" has mainly freed women to act more corse like men, help make men unsure of what the hell they are supposed to act like from moment to moment, and help bolster the flannel industry. My brothers ex wife, for example, a champion of the movement despised her alcoholic father, brestfed her daughter until she was six (militant La Leche member) and left my brother after he put her through legal school for a partner at the law firm where she was interning. (After spending three years studying divorce law and feeding my brother just enough wrong information that he got taken to the cleaners when she finally divorced him.) Granted, YMMV, and she is admittedly a very small sampling.

The breast feeding thing is funny. During the women’s movement it was discouraged. My mom tried desprately to feed my brother and I but was unable to. She had no one to turn to so we got formula. I have a six month old and am committed to feeding up to his first birthday. I have had problems but worked through it with insurance-paid-for lactation consultants. I am doing it for my son, but the reason that this has become popular is not because of the many undisputed benefits for baby. It is now popular because of the many benefits to the mother. Long story short, feminists are only committed to themselves. Unless it benefits them, they won’t even give their children a life-long benefit.

The population of Sweden is 9,059,651. The cops probably, at least, went to school with the wife.

I know what the Aussie went through, sometimes the requirement for justice goes beyond normal parameters.

“TAKEN” - a terrific film.

And the reviewers panned it because it made Muslims look bad.

I am certainly FOR breastfeeding where it works...my wife couldn't manage it, and ex-sister-in-law made her feel like dirt for not doing it. But if you are still doing it when the child is , it isn't the child that's getting fed.
