Reports are that missle actually (stage) reached out to about 2000 kilometers off to the East of Japan in the Pacific Ocean. NHK TV still covering live. Most other TV stations have reverted to normal broadcast.
Now a lot of movement on the diplomatic front. Lookes like final stage came down at about 34 degrees north and 165 Degrees East That is what NHK chart is now showing on the screen.

Born and raised in Texas! Live in Mich now. Lots of beautiful empty property up north.
Seriously tho....we should discuss this someday, in case we are out of communication, and something horrible happens, god forbid.

Breaking: Yonhap (South Korea) news has just stated that based on their analyis, on the trajectory, elevation etc, that it was in fact a satellite. Now it will be interesting to see if orbit was reached or not. NORAD should of course know this by now, but as I yet I have not read any statement. 1:47 p.m. local Korea/Japan

Sounds like orbit was not reached to me. And it still could have been a well disguised missile test.

Did Obama tell our forces to stand down or what? Quite some time ago he or his spokesbot said we would not take any military action, but would protest at the UN.
I'm sure that statement had the Chia Head wetting his pants. :(

Thanks. Are there any screengrabs of the graphics?

Japan Defense Ministry just a few minutes ago, states (as they revised their information where they stopped tracking the missile) out to 2100 km into the Pacific...and can
not confirm second stage separation (location, details), just now.
If I am not mistaken this could in fact then lead to the conclusion the missile went much further than earlier reports or even achieved orbit for a satellite.

Wouldn't you just know it? North Korea not only fell for that “Earth-Hour” bs last weekend but actually took a photo to prove to the world that they achieved 99.99999% compliance. They would have had 100% were it not for their lone Motel-6 where “[They always] leave the light on.” /s

I will work on some screengrabs now from major networks. They will be in Japanese, but if you have any questions, just ask! ;-)

I live in Virginia, but I would rather be closer to the equator when the feces hits the rotor.
