North Korea with no statement yet, I am sure they will proclaim the People’s great succcess with Kwangmyeongung-2 satellite, however there are specific ways to see if they really have something up. They will lie through their teeth even with confirmed technical data from the West showing that no such thing is in orbit. Of course, their claim of it being a “satellite” empowers them to assert at UN that there is no claim against them, and China/Russia will be in veto position with respect to anything we or Japan try to do before the Security Council.

The Japanese are absolute tech and quality whizzes. Within a year they will have an H-bomb that they could literally plop on the Chia Head’s back door stoop before anybody notices.

From the linked article:

Obama said Friday the launch would be "provocative" and said the U.S. would "take appropriate steps to let North Korea know that it can't threaten the safety and security of other countries with impunity."

The launch "will prompt the United States to take appropriate steps to let North Korea know that it cannot threaten the safety and security of other countries with impunity," State Department spokesman Fred Lash said in Washington.

Looks as though Barry was readin' Gates' notes on the State Department's TeleprompTer feed.

“I wish we could make him treasury secretary.”

Me, too. Mr. Denninger, Samurai Secretary—he’d cut no one any slack.

is that a website or are you talking about the news ticker at the bottom of the TV screen?

A web site. karl denninger's Market Ticker. Good financial commentary and a decent forum.

Obama is not going to do anything other than send KIM a UN letter..saying he is very disappointed and then he is going to disarm America of our nuclear weapons!

Here is where I usually insert my ‘LOL’...but I am not laughing right now. The man(Obama)is a threat to our country’s survival if he continues on the path he has laid out since he was inaugurated!

Crisis

Hey Joe -- you called it, brother! Actually, just a little more than 3 months.

So what's BO's response to this "major international crisis" going to be?
a) A finger-wagging admonishment
b) a trillion-dollar ransom payment to N. Korea to "cease hostilities"
c) surrender

We don't have a Chief Executive. We have a teleprompter reader with a politburo full of speech writers and policy makers. He signs bills without even knowing the contents. He reads teleprompters without even registering what's coming out of his own mouth. Remember when he congratulated himself because he was reading the teleprompter for his visiting dignitary? Empty suit. Empty head. Sock puppet.

Yes I remember her well. She has not posted since 2004. I don’t know what happened to her. I will never forget the night that CHIEF negotiator (Herb) left us in such a tragic way. He was a warrior. Well for some good news-—CAL came back a while ago.
