You should read Leviticus 20: It lists all the types of sexual sin that is forbidden by God. Since He is eternal and doesn't change, I think your wrong about incest being OK with God. Interbreeding among close relatives leads to the people depicted in Deliverance...It multiplies the possibility of deleterious genes being manifest..<.> ..I cannot speak to the idea of chromosomes being broken down. That is supposition.. I think God had rules for the ancient people and many were based on hygeine. For instance, hand washing, not eating pork (as it carries disease, even to this day if not throughtly cooked.) etc. You also must have read that the last post to me was not only misspelled, but did a little name calling... When out of arguments yell and call names...I don't think I called anyone an idiot..But thats not the worse I have been called in my 70 years...not even close.. :O)

not eating pork (as it carries disease, even to this day if not throughtly cooked.)

From foodnetwork.com (quoted. The 'You' is not direct at youP).

-----------------------------------------------------------

You may be a little confused at this point about how long to cook pork. In the past, we were warned to cook it to well done (that is, 170 F) in order to take care of any trichinae parasites, which are killed at 137 F. These days, however, modern advances in pork production have all but eliminated trichinosis in this country. In fact, the few cases reported here in recent years have been traced to either wild game (bears, especially) or privately raised pigs. You no longer need to overcook pork in order to feel good about eating it.

Since He is eternal and doesn't change,

You are right that God's character doesn't change. However, His laws do at times (ex: Jews were required to sacrifice at the Temple...Christians are not).

There would have been no other way for Adams' sons to procreate except with their siblings. We are all descended from Adam and Eve. There were no other families around to marry with.

The Levitical laws were written thousands of years after Adam and Eve lived when the world was populated and there was no need to marry within the family. An example of how marrying one's sister was accepted back then: Sarah was Abrahams' half-sister (Abraham lived before the Levitical laws).
