As we enter April 2009 we are being bombarded by the media hyping up the first 100 days of President Obama I thought it would be nice to look back at the first 100 days of George W Bush Presidency.
The White House Website for the Bush Administration had a photo essay for the first 100 days which I am sure will provoke fond memories.
At the weekend I will post photos covering the first 2 weeks of April 2001 which once again I am sure will make us all feel nostalgic for the President we supported, respected and trusted to keep us safe for the last 8 years. Later this month I will post photos from the second half of Aril 2001 plus a selection of other photos that I am sure will be breath of fresh air and produce fond memories.
First of all before the photos I will post the text of remarks that George W Bush made at a Congressional Luncheon marking the first 100 days of the Bush Adminstration - ah those were the days.
I will also post some photos I have found of the Bush family for March 2009 including some of the former First Lady.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
THANK YOU for posting my favorite photo (from this particular gallery)!
Thanks,as always!
DrDeb, THANK YOU! I really needed something to make me smile today...and the video of our dear W did it!
I miss him sooooo much...:-(
You are both so welcome!
I miss him more and more every day, particularly in his role as Commander in Chief!
The obamedia is terrified of Cheney.
Pray for America
Thanks for the sweet reply! HUGS!
Oh me too! Miss Him & F L Laura every day!!
It would have been nice if he had said what they talked about. The SMU students seemed very polite. That is awfully good to see.
He represents kindness and decency and people of character--all the things Barbara and George taught him and W lived his life knowing how precious life is, because of his sister dying so young.
I can't watch this Islamic thug on TV...he doesn't fool me for a minute. I'm so sad about what has happened to our wonderful country.
Those of us that feel as I do, WILL band together and do as our forefathers did....only this time it will be to SAVE what we have rather than the even MORE difficult job of creating it.
God Bless you George W. Bush and all your family. We miss you dearly!
We heard the grabbing for air, too. Please, please go fly fishing VP Cheney - have some fun and stay healthy....we’re going to need your presence here on Earth so much, in the coming days.
“God Bless you George W. Bush and all your family. We miss you dearly!”
