President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle arrived in Britain last night to bring some glamour to the G20 summit of world leaders. The Presidential plane, Air Force One, touched down at Stansted just before 8pm for Mr Obama's first official visit to Europe. A crowd of well-wishers, many waving U.S. flags, had gathered in the cold to welcome the couple
Hand in hand, they waved from the steps of the Boeing 747, the First Lady wearing a bright yellow dress and the President in a dark suit and spotted tie.
They were greeted by Chancellor Alistair Darling - and tight security - before travelling on to London
Selected members of the President's 500-strong entourage were airlifted to London in American military Chinook helicopters. Later today Mr Obama will go to Buckingham Palace for a real British welcome - a cup of tea. He will be offered it at a meeting with the Queen and Prince Philip in their private apartments
The 'getting to know you' session - which will probably last about 25 minutes - is something of a break with protocol because visiting heads of state normally meet the monarch only if they are on an official state visit, whereas Mr Obama will be in town as one of a number of leaders. After the meeting, the couple will be taken to a reception to welcome the heads of state of the G20 and other nations attending. Most senior members of the Royal Family...

There...fixed that!
Somebody run over to the White House and change the locks!
The article reads like something a giddy high school girl would write in her diary. “Oh, wow! Glamour!” I’m beginning to think “world leaders” don’t take the Obambi seriously, and regarding him as some sort of glitzy sideshow to entertain the masses while the adults (ie, everyone else) works on the problem.
Glad you said something! The first thing I noticed is that he is drinking from a Turkish tea cup, probably drinking apple "tea". I wondered what the heck kind of message he was trying to convey with that! (So where was that taken, anyway? Unless it was in Turkey, kind of strange...)
*grins*( watta buffoon)
“President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle arrived in Britain last night to bring some glamour to the G20 summit of world leaders.”
OK, this is getting beyond laughable. “Bring some glamour”??? Glamour and the Obamas??? Who are they kidding? Or perhaps the Brits find poorly fitting clothing and camel toes on the First Lady attractive? Maybe it’s Hussein’s thing for too-short pants and his occasional Just for Men job on his hair to be dignified. Maybe the look of mean is in in Britain? Are they partial to large ears? Overbites? Women who walk like the Hulk? Please tell me, what is even remotely glamourous about these classless people?
This just takes the cake! LOLOLOL - the Husseinis and glamour!
You can take a Kenyan from the jungle...but not the jungle from the Kenyan...
DVD’s anyone?
Yes...and I hope someone has briefed him on how to take his tea...and all of the rest.
Does he drink tea?
"Air Force One's arrival was handled by Harrods Aviation, an offshoot of the store owned by Mohamed Al-Fayed, which operates within the VIP area."
Lordy! Moneyed Muslims everywhere!
LOLOL!
I do so wish...
Michelle’s dress is another puke yellow-green one of her favorite colors.
Can Britain keep them; please.
“Tea”. Is that some hip code word for an illegal substance?
LOL!
I remember a time when it used to be “code”. ;o)
Democrat class warfare is about people with no class attacking people with class. Even the wealthy Democrats generally seem to have no class. Perhaps they think that having money makes up for that.
-—”Don’t tell me this uncouth monkey showed up at Buckingham in shirt sleeves?!?! This can’t be real! “
Yes so much for Obambi being so “in tune” to other cultures! He’s so multicultural. </sarcasm>
-—”President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle arrived in Britain last night to bring some glamour to the G20 summit of world leaders.”
Glamor??? WTF?? WHo wrote this?
Too true.
I’ll bet you actually think that any of us would be interested in this post.
