CNN: Even With Obama Gun Control Agenda, Gun Owners 'Might Even Be Paranoid'

During a segment on Friday’s Campbell Brown: No Bias, No Bull program, CNN tried to perpetuate left-wing stereotypes about gun owners, and sent mixed messages about whether or not President Obama and his administration is pushing for gun control. Correspondent Sean Callebs interviewed two Texas professionals who owned guns and concluded, “A nurse, an attorney -- not the usual portrait of Second Amendment diehards.” After asking a gun store owner if he was “profiting on this fear” of new gun control measures, Callebs expounded on the concerns of gun owners: “In fact, it may not be rational at all. It might even be paranoid. But one thing is certain. Many gun owners believe this president is somehow out to curb their rights and they’re stocking up just in case.”

Both Callebs and CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin tried to assure their viewers that gun control was “way off the agenda right now” of the Obama administration, despite the fact that a graphic on the news crawl stated plainly that President Obama “wants to make expired Assault Weapons Ban permanent.”

The CNN correspondent traveled to Tyler, Texas, “one of those places all over America where a kind of quiet call to arms is getting louder and louder,” as he put it. Besides interviewing the lawyer and the nurse, he visited a local gun store, where he skeptically asked one of the employees of the store, “Why would someone own a semiautomatic weapon like this? I mean, is saying it’s my right, is that enough?”

The DIHMs know any gun control measure is a sure loser for them. 2010 is not that far away and too many of them are in fear for what is happening now affecting their re-election chances.

No, because they don't acknowledge that the Constitution is valid. The "living Constitution" as they envision it will have no 2nd Amendment. Even though our sham President cynically swore to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States," he's a liar. Before the election he proudly declared himself to be a "citizen of the world" in front of a German audience, code for socialist world government under U.N. control. Obama and his homies secretly laugh at those of us still "dumb" enough to believe in traditional American government and the rule of law.

Track your congress critter, issues, bills, and their blog. Pretty powerful tool, it’s amazing it’s allowed to exist. I don’t know how accurate it is yet, but seems ligit.

It amuses me to hear people on this forum prattling on about “the law” this and “the Constitution” that.

Just who do they think that they’re dealing with now? This is the endgame of Gramsci’s and Alinsky's heirs and disciples. Just as Hitler was completely candid in "Mein Kampf" about what he intended to do, so the Left has completely up front about where they intend to take America and how they've planned to do it. So when it comes to the rule of law, they’ll not only sweep the pieces off the board, they’ll upend the table and put a bullet in you while they’re at it. As far as the Left is concerned, rules are for losers and history, godawful bloody history is my witness.

The reality is that we’ll never see another truly free, open and honest election in this country until after the next American Civil War. And the America we'll have after that won't be the America we started with - for good or for ill. It was always and ever up to us.

Wake up, people. You’re not going to talk or vote your way out of the tyranny that’s coming. And that’s precisely the point of tyranny, isn’t it? None of you have a Get Out of History Free card either. None. Your circumstances can change overnight. That's one of the other great lessons that so many of us have failed to learn from the history of the twentieth century. Fat, happy, stupid and "it can't happen here," is how most of us are except for the ones who are actually cheering for it to happen here. Time to start getting together with like-minded people. Time to organize your list of Things To Do, Places To Go and People To Meet. Because when your favorite websites suddenly go dark, when your cell phones and other comm nets no longer work, when the roadblocks go up, then it’ll be too damned late.

Unless you're willing, like Atlas, to shrug - and then pick up a gun before they come for you, you aren't going to get your country back, much less preserve your own freedom and dignity.
