I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?
God bless.
Thanks, yeah, I saw that. I had wondered if there was an organized list. Just wanted to see if I was on it (and I’m not anti-Mormon, I have Mormon family members whom I love and believe at least one is a saved Christian). But, I was fairly vocal on the FLDS threads.
“You will find those names to be the screen name of Freepers, including me.
“GODZILLA, HAVE YOU NOW OR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN A MEMBER OF THE FR-ANTI-MORMON HATE GROUP?”
There are closed caucus threads for anyone who wants
to talk about their faith, but is too thin-skinned
to talk with others who disagree. There are also
“ecumenic” threads for those who want to be in a
sandbox with others who don’t throw sand, but prefer
to hold hands while they eat sand. So be it. Find
your place at FR.
Really, does everyone have to only post material that
agrees with everyone else to make some people happy?
This isn’t KinderCare.
I’ve never met a freeper who hates a mormon.
I see them discussing mormonism, the doctrine,
or events relating to the founder of the religion
or to current events. Heck, as people, I like many
of those whose beliefs I disagree with.
I’m proud to say I made the hate site list. In his
twisted world view, down is up.

I have a friend who makes coffee in a top of the stove perculator. Now THAT is the hottest coffee I’ve ever had!
So, is Free Republic an anti-Mormon site? Most definitely. There is as much, if not more, anti-Mormon activity going on on Free Republic than you'll find on most anti or exMormon sites on a daily basis.
I encourage all Latter-day Saints on Free Republic to consider these statistics and consider that FR is a willing vessel for the transmission of anti-Mormon propaganda. My recent banning, including the deletion of my entire profile, adds further evidence that they are not interested in free speech that might reflect positively on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jim Robinson is permitting his site, which has hundreds of thousands of members, to be a hate group that harbors religious bigots and censors the targets of that bigotry.
Since the site is a for-profit enterprise, it should be considered in the same category as the anti-Mormon publishers and parachurches that promote and disseminate anti-Mormon literature and videos.
I would ask each Latter-day Saint on Free Republic to consider these things when the next "Freepathon" takes place and consider instead making a contribution to the missionary fund of the Church. Knowing God holds each of us accountable for the use of our resources, I hope you will not put any more resources into the hands of an organization that appears to harbor, support, and protect anti-Mormons.
Everything I know about Mormons I learned from South Park.
Boys! A list! Some names were mentioned....
“I looked over there, but didnt see an actual list. Is there one?”
see post 190
BTW an new post over on the SPAMLDS site.
We've gotten their attention on Free Republic--an update
It seems Greg West got exactly what he was hoping for...a reaction from Jim Rob.
Perhaps I need to make a list of Freeper names that insult animals!
Bring it on.
Good question.
>> I also suspect hes the head of his homeowners association.
ROFLMAO! I’ve heard of bashing, but that, sir — that is COLD!!
same here...My problem(s) w/ Mitt Romney, Was w/ his RomneyCare Health program / representations / political stances & his "dirty tricks" w/ FRed Thompson' effords...never his religious beliefs.
Hmm.....This stinks of a 'Rat Trick/Dis-information Campaign.
But I would never insult them. :)
I’m there and they’re wrong!!!! I’m not a Mormon hater. I’m anti-Mormon theology. But then, seems like I’m in good company. You’re considered a Mormon hater if you disagree with their theology. When you ask them a question they come back with that “look into your heart stuff” ... they never answer or defend. They use the Bible to confirm their theology but the Bible does not need the BOM to prove the Bible as the true word of God ....
So if they say, gave you a bust of Winston Churhill, you would keep it?
>> Dont piss the agnostics off.
Annoying but harmless. My ex was a dyslexic insomniac agnostic. She drove me nuts — laying awake all night, wondering if there WAS a dog.
then why didn’t you give her an enob?
Thats what happens when you miss the antimormon club meetings LOL
I’m doing my best to make it 37. ( I wonder if this post counts as anti-mormon or just anti-mormon list?)
