I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?

I am not one of them, I publicly and privately commended 7 for his comments to west and Spam against their nonsense. Had he left it there, there should have been no problem. I think his starting another FR thread on a mormon apologetics BB negated his thoughtful comments to west et al.
He may have been wrong on a number of things but he was a fighter and did try and be straight forward as possible without the seemingly requisite tap dancing. I can respect that.

No one should insist that people don’t think for themselves.
When I was LDS and researching its history and doctrines, I was cautioned not to “think myself out of the Church”, which is exactly what happened.
The LDS church CANNOT withstand close scrutiny.

this whole thing is feeling like open season on the LDS and I am trying to understand why did the LDS become bad neighbors, they are not good citizens,
I am not a Ron Paul person but they did usurp the talks from the LDS Prophest for their movement which they should not have done but I still am strong in supporting what these leaders had to say about the awful situation we are finding our selves in!
It tears my heart out what has happen to Michigan I was born and raised here and did not the degree at the role that this state has played in jobs for the nation as a whole from the auto makers and the by products etc.
It makes me weep and what I heard today makes me weep even more about GM and Chrysler my beautiful country is being shreaded and it seem no one is caring all seem passive and my youth is gone so I feel of little help.
But it is comforting to hear LDS lesders warn and knowing America as a whole a Judeo Christian nation and some how we will over come!
