I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?

They have been quoted in great context literally dozens of times over the last many months.
Those are the ones referenced, not the out of context ones.
The teachings say that god is a man.
They say that he is an "exalted" man.
An exalted man, according to the English language, is a man.
Maybe you have a Mormon definition of an "exalted" man you could share with us?
That could clear up that confusion.
But remember that we are counseled to do so in the Spirit of the Lord and I may not be a General Authority but, I’m pretty sure that disrupting and bankrupting a website that you deem to be “the opposition” isn’t compatible with His Spirit.

I cannot see how you can also say you that care about the truth being taught, when you are not willing to check out such a minor number of attempts to misstate our teachings.

Your second half is only an attempt to turn the reader aside from how ya’ll have been exposed as to not caring to be truthfully about our teachings.
You and yours are spending a lot of effort to bury that fact under a lot of other statements.
Ya’ll should just admit that you are not careful in understanding our teachings.

You cannot stand up for your founders because they taught the opposite on many topics than your current leaders. Your "god" changes his mind from generation to genereation.
These things are very well documented, and you cannot argue so you attack the messenger.
Then you complain that we defend our God from FLDS/LDS "infiltration" into Christianity on Freerepublic....AT LEAST WE'RE NOT KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR AT DINNER TIME.

Since we can never know just who is posting as Religion Moderator, we never know who is enforcing (or not) the rules, but there are a handful of mormons who seem to be "untouchable" when violating those rules.
The regular RM has gained the respect of the Inmans for his/her even-handed moderating. Thank you, RM.
I think it’s REALLY important that Jim Robinson allow Romneybots to post their nonsense on Free Republic because it clues lurkers and fellow conservatives into what is so horrible about Romney, and that would never happen if Romney bots were simply banned. Jim Robinson is a GENIUS because he refrains from being a control freak. And I think this Mormon site trying to bring down FR will fail and benefit FR in the long run.
