Back in February, the founding father, owner and guiding light of Free Republic.com, Jim Robinson, sent out a clarion call for freeper chapters across the fruited plain to hold regional conventions.
Simply put, he asked us for this so that we can fine-tune our organized efforts and so that we can gird our loins in concert for the ongoing battle (and even worse battles to come)
Always a leader among state chapters, Florida freepers began the task of organizing such an event. Mass freepmails of invitation were sent out to freepers in our neighboring states of Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas because this is a regional convention.
Roos_Girl took on the job of Chair, and a committee was quickly formed. A thread was begun, a convention site chosen, an agenda was written (which will be posted tomorrow, Sunday) and all the necessities for a successful convention are being handled proficiently as only conservatives can do!
But more than that, folks, we need your SUPPORT and ATTENDANCE so we can report MISSION ACCOMPLISHED to Jim after the convention!
You can see by this thread that our gathering of Eagles will be a warm, friendly, fun affair. You'll see by the agenda that we mean business, also.
This is not the committee's convention, it's everybody's. Everyone will have an opportunity to listen, discuss, debate, question and rant during our meetings. What more could any red-blooded right-wing extremist want?

Oh, I am not afraid of little old alligators! It is just CrocerGators that scare me! You know, those creatures that are half crocodile and half alligator. They are mean lookin creatures with a crocodile head on one end and an alligator head on the other! Sure glad there aren't any CrocerGators at the Gaylord!! :)
