Pretty good plume on the AVO web cam.
Here in east Anchorage we were covered in ash, but no great amount. Friends on the west side said high winds blew their deck clean. 4” of snow overnight. Snow is melting and the drive to work was fine til Lake Otis and Dowling. I watched the slow moving car quite aways in front of me try to turn onto Dowling. No dice...he stopped after sliding thru the entire intersection. Even tip-toeing around the roundabouts had me sliding across the outer lane. Not fun....but most drivers seem to be paying attention. Stay safe.
Eye....still coughing? I have spare air filters and respirator masks now. Thanks for your suggestions.
Thanks...we got covered.
I think hosieries are way inadequate for fine dust like that but what would I know.
Are your street,house, yard covered in ash ?
I bet you have to employ special fixes to
drive the car, with all the particulate in
the air.
Every drastic weather/nature event in the news
or that I’ve experienced (and I’ve had my fill)
I realize:
No place in the world is totally free of miserable
weather/nature disturbances, and there is no heaven
on earth. Even pristine Alaska .. sad for what y’all
have to handle and manage with this.
Prayers for your safety and comfort. {{Hugs}}
We weren’t in town then, but that is what they were talking about having done. In a pinch, you know..
Still praying for you all as you recover from this. I imagine it’s going to be quite the hassle for some time to come...
