Photo by Bonnie Dee Childs/Skwentna Roadhouse. A snowmachine trail glows like a white ribbon through the ash-covered snow in Skwentna Monday. The area received as much as a quarter of an inch of ash March 23, 2009, from the eruption of Mount Redoubt.
Now all we do is wait until the volcano goes back to sleep. Not a clue how many more eruptions until that happens. So far so good as long as the ash continues to the north.

Wow Ma!
My prayers for everyone in Alaska continue today.
xoxoxo!
That’s mighty impressive.
Apparantly instead of snow your weather includes fire and ash.
That snow trail/ash photos is disorienting! What an effect!
So, how’s the weather up there?
We used to live in Cantwell but the folks never talked about Volcanoes. I’m sure the 8mm camera would have hours of an event like this. Take care.
Thanks for the graphics, photo and update.
