I want to read about the 2nd incident, and see what type of weapon was used, the ranges, and where he was aiming.
Somebody who always practices head shots is VERY dangerous if he’s a good shot. There are people who can shoot head sized targets at up to 50 feet faster than most people can shoot torsos. And I am dead serious about that. Some tactical units I could mention don’t even practice the old “2-1” any more, they consider it a waste of time with microseconds count and there are multiple bad guy shooter. They go right for the head from the first shot. And they don’t miss.
If this is true it was just sheer bad luck:
“According to law enforcement sources, the SWAT team officers entered an apartment and approached a closet. Suddenly the gunman, hiding in the closet, opened fire through the door, killing two officers and wounding a third.”

Our folks don’t shoot minute of torso no more either......I think that is SOP now for CAT, SWAT, SRT’s etc and spec ops of course for dynamic entry dance of death from a stack.
