The Nation Unites Against Obama
Human Events ^ | 3-20-09 | Gary Bauer

Barack Obama has already set numerous records during his young presidency. Not the least of them is the number of promises he’s broken. It’s a development that was entirely foreseeable given candidate Obama’s soaring rhetoric, which ranged from the implausible to the absurd.

Consider earmarking. In the first presidential debate, Obama said, “…we need earmark reform. And when I'm president, I will go line by line to make sure that we are not spending money unwisely.” He sure sounded earnest, but conservatives remained skeptical. And for good reason. President Obama recently signed a spending bill with 9,000 earmarks, prompting criticism from just about everyone, even the New York Times, which reported that Obama signed the bill “despite campaign promises to put an end to the practice.”

Then there were candidate Obama’s constant pledges to end the culture war. But in his first few weeks in office, Obama has ensured that all Americans will be forced to pay for abortions at home and abroad. He has also taken steps to weaken laws affirming the right of health care professionals not to take part in abortions. The culture war has been rekindled.

But those promises were made before the economic crisis. And because Obama fears the economic situation could “quickly turn into a catastrophe,” any broken campaign promises are justified and in some cases mandatory.

President Obama has been handing out billion-dollar bailouts like party favors but finally found a group he felt was undeserving of assistance -- those who have sacrificed more than anyone, our wounded warriors.

Does anyone continue to have the fantasy that we can live in harmony with those who want to have control over EVERY aspect of our lives?

No. This will be corrected in the coming revolution.

I've never had that fantasy.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. — C. S. Lewis

Number of promises he’s broken? How about the number of flat-out lies he’s told?

I’m wondering if the Congressional (House) Democrats aren’t going to start seeing the handwriting on the wall and start doing a 180 on some of these votes. All of them are up for re-election next year and if the economy hasn’t significantly improved, they are going to be hard-pressed to explain to their districts their votes on a MUST! HAVE! NOW! and largely unread stimulus package that has achieved nothing. Couple that with uncoming bills re amnesty for illegals and, if cap and trade passes, inflated energy bills for constituents, they are facing political ruin if they vote in favor.

Yes, I know it.
And THEY also know that that’s THE line in the sand.

Folks, most people have more hardware than they can use at any one time. When the confiscation raids start - don’t lose your life over it. They CAN’T get all the hardware at once.

Your goal, if you are one of the first ones on the list, is to stay free, stay alive, and get the word out. Then, you go join up with others to resist subsequent confiscation waves.

It would be good to network now and have a plan.

The puppet masters control him and he isn’t man enough to care.

Just who in the hell are these puppet masters?

He has already made the whole world mad. You, and a lot of people, don't seem to be able to accept this guy is a dysfunctional, narcissistic personality - a rogue nut acting on his own.

The puppet masters, if there are any, are the asylum inmates who voted for the SOB.

He has puppet masters like Hitler had them. He is just a lunatic acting aggressively upon his ivory tower delusions without regard to how they affect real people.

He has no class and is completely tone deaf when it comes to the clashing domestic social interests and foreign powers.

In short, he is the ultimate affirmative action poster boy who could always talk big but has never even run a hot dog stand.

There has never been a leader in the history of planet Earth more in over his head than this incompetent egomaniac, Obama. He loves BEING president but is completely unprepared for the job and its responsibilities.
