NBC has announced that President Barack Obama will on Thursday become the first sitting president to sit on Jay Leno's couch, or that matter, any late-night TV show's couch.

Is the argument it demeans the Office opf the President by appearing on an entertainment show.. or will the image of the Tonight Show be forever tarnished by Obama’s appearance?

I quit watching the Tonight Show when Leno took it over from Carson. He is nowhere NEAR what Johnny Carson was. He was terrible even before he took over the show, and he’s still terrible. I can’t beleive the show is still on the air.
Glad zero has so much free time.
Stands to reason. He’s a clown...might as well do the late night circuit. Meanwhile, the US is falling apart thanks to his adroit (/sarc) handling of all things economic.
Heck...maybe he’ll bring his BC. That would be newsworthy.

In Orange County on Wednesday, Obama is scheduled to hold a town hall session at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa. The event is free, although a ticket will be required, according to the White House.
Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the center, 88 Fair Drive. Entry is through Gate 1 or Gate 10, the White House said.
On Thursday, Obama is scheduled to visit a manufacturing plant in Pomona. The visit is closed to the public.
That same day Obama will hold a town hall-style meeting in Los Angeles. Tickets are to be distributed through registration at the White House website:

His insecurity is apparent and obvious lately.
Maybe he’s plugging his next movie: “Lies My Father Taught Me”, subtitled: “How I Traveled to PAH-KEE-STAHN on a US/British and/or Indonesian Passport”.
