WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance.

The government is always admitting that it cannot manage or provide health care for the relatively small population of veterans (who deserve it), while insisting that they can run health care for the entire population of the United States (and criminal aliens).

i would think that private insurance companies would have a huge problem with this. i know life insurance companies have a disclaimer not to pay for loss incurred due to acts of war. i would think health insurance would have simialer disclaimers. the country sends them to war then they need to take care of them. period.
