Sen. Specter says he's trying to lead the Republican Party |
U.S. Senator Arlen Specter (R-Pa) talked with WILK's Nancy and Kevin this morning about the economy, healthcare reform, his opinion on Rush Limbaugh, and the leader of the Republican Party. Specter criticized RNC Chairman Michael Steele on his recent flip-flop concerning comments about Rush Limbaugh. When asked who's leading Republicans, Senator Specter laughed and said he was trying to lead them, "moving toward the center, where American's want to be governed." Specter was also critical of the man he'll face again in his next re-election campaign, Pat Toomey. He said Toomey was a man who argued for deregulation of Wall Street, and is a 'part of the problem' we're facing now. To hear the full interview, click here. |
If HE has to announce it, then he obviously ain't DOIN' it, and isn't capable of doing it.
What are you babbling about?
Still, he could have pushed to put tax cuts in, and he did not.
What a jerk!
Holly Maddox isn’t voting for this asshole! She’s in her grave, eh Arlen?
Specter needs to lead himself to his depends drawer, because the nonsense coming out of him is going to leave a stink. Deregulation of Wall Street didn’t cause the problems we are facing now. Government interference in the banking system to manipulate social engineering, and the unwillingness of Congress to enforce its oversight powers caused the problems we have now. What is Specter doing to correct the real problems? Nothing! Get rid of this conniving geezer, and the so called “intellectuals” who think he represents the way the Republican Party should go.
Yea, Toomey’s part of the problem. I despise this man more and more every day.
Sorry Spector, I am NOT following where you want to lead. Fagaddaboutit.
“When asked who’s leading Republicans, Senator Specter laughed and said he was trying to lead them, “moving toward the center, where Americans want to be governed.”
How about him saying instead. “Moving toward what will grow the economy and limit the burden government puts on the citizens.”
See how easy that was Sphincter?
Probably he’s itching to step into Juan McCain’s shoes, now that McCain is passé with the press.
“moving toward the center, where American’s want to be governed.”
I don’t want my wealth, rights or life governed by ANYBODY!!
yeah and that’s why we are no longer republicans. Jerks like him.
Sorry to say, Specter has been pretty successful at leading the Republican Party - leading it astray, but leading.
I hope that turncoat learns to appreciate just how much harm he did to my children and grandchildren. I can’t imagine any worse punishment than for him to understand the implications of his cowardly betrayal. [The strange thing is that if he did understand, I’d forgive him ... never forget, never vote for him, but no longer regard him as irredeemably evil at the level of Obama.]
Shut yer piehole, Sphincter.
Spector leading the conservatives??????? Hahahahaha. Not in my world! He’s the problem not the solution.
Senator, don’t do us any favors. Just leave the party.
