There may be some truth in that. I think until people feel it is accepted to openly disapprove, they may be inflating his numbers. Much of this will also be based on your community. I told my wife there is no way we are going to put a negative Obama sticker on our car, because where we live, our car would be set on fire if we ever left it unattended.
I wouldn’t fall into that trap. Last year that was the big theory floating around saying Obama would do somewhat worse than the polling - NOT true sadly.
I'm not disagreeing with you, but if someone had told 6 weeks ago that his poll numbers would be this low in early March, I would have dismissed them as exaggerating.
There is a certain percentage of American people -- probably at least 30% -- who will enthusiastically support Obama if he barbecues 5-year olds on the White House front lawn and eats them.

He's exceeding my expectations - knowing from the beginning what his agenda was. I didn't think he could wreak this much havoc in 6 weeks given his total lack of competence. But - he's got Reid and Pelosi doing all of the heavy lifting... :-(

I agree with you. The Obamasses are not to the point where they are ready to violently riot in the streets. But they are getting there. The first milestone is when they demonstrate and demand that government fill their pig trough in a dying economy. The next milestone is reached when it becomes clear that the Dope of Faux Hope cannot deliver because there is no tax base left to loot because a dead economy is unable to generate sufficient taxes. That’s when we move to the Mugabe phase of decline and class warfare on a potentially epic scale. Heaven help us.
The dirty little secret is that punitive taxation of the “rich” does not and cannot invigorate the American economy. It can only lead to more economic decline, and more economic decline must inevitably lead to more social disorder, which must lead to more economic decline.
In the final analysis it remains to be seen whether Obama has the political survival skills of a Mugabe, Chavez, or Castro.
We live in interesting times.

Agreed, but that boy (and his minions) has been up to a lot of mischief in a very short period of time. Unless the event has a nuclear shockwave, most folks take a while to realize they’ve been screwed. Takes ‘em even longer to admit it to others, so there is something of a delay before the numbers really sag. There is something pathological in our human nature when we are so fascinated/transfixed by the sublime events we are now witnessing (rather like the video of that poor SOB all alone on the Indonesian beach with the tsunami racing towards him).
We’re a bit further up the beach, ‘cause we’ve had some warning, but we’re still going to get mighty wet before it’s over.
