Exactly and that is part of the problem.
I have been wracking my brain to try and figure out how and why the economy is tanking so fast even as bizarre as Zero is.
Usually markets do their own thing but ozero has probably shaken confidence so badly that he has so to speak screwed the pooch.
I saw George P. Bush on cable tv this morning, don't recall which station, and then it hit me. GW, just because he was who he was, was such a stabilizing figure and held such office,respect, by those in the financial world that what is happening now did not happen 6 months ago or 12 months ago. We now have a crisis of confidence that started in 06 when the rats took over congress and is rapidly getting worse simply because they are who they are,Socialists.
The entire difference is Ozero and a great case for it can now be made. You only have to look at GW's adm., stable, no BS,no dramatic changes in how the govt. does business and then look at how ozero is on a sure path to bankruptcy to see the difference.
Sad for the nation and our kids and their kids.
Now if we can just nominate a conservative Republican leader(other than Rush who won't run for office) who can take us back into power we will be there.

Another round of TARP investments
The Treasury Department said Tuesday it completed investments in 28 U.S. banks, including 21 that had not previously appeared on BailoutSleuth’s running tally of institutions getting taxpayer capital.
The deals were worth $394.9 million, lifting the total amount that the government has invested through its stock-purchase program to nearly $196.8 billion.
All but a handful of the banks on this week’s list are privately held. The Treasury Department’s stock purchases are part of the broader $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program.
Lakeland Financial Corp., of Warsaw, Ind., got the biggest capital injection — $56 million. Its subsidiary, Lake City Bank, serves 12 counties in northern Indiana. The company reported profits of $19.7 million for 2008, up 2.6 percent from 2007.
