I was talking about Porkulus alone and not the pending spending bills. Fourty billion is just their target amount for savings and it truly is just a speck compared to the amount that future generations will have to pay-off.

Not hundreds of billions, TRILLIONS of dollars. And that is just next year! $40 billion is only 1 percent of $4 trillion. It's really an unbelievable amount of money. I think the debt incurs a billion or two in interest every day.
