Except with tax cuts and Supreme Court justices.

Yes, tax cuts that expire. He had Congress for four years and couldn't make them permanent.

He was pushed away from Meiers remember.

It's important to know how we got here. The natural progression of the Bush eight year program is Obama. He started off as a mild conservative but in the end he spent and spent just like a liberal.

The country, and even some republicans, said "What the heck. If the leader of GOP is becoming a liberal maybe we should, too". And, so did the majority of Americans. There is no conservatism in national politics anymore. THAT is Bush's legacy. He fought against his own base on numerous occasions. Bush was part of the war of attrition against conservatism. Whether he understood what he was doing is doubtful. He had a personal agenda and basically, like Obama and his crowd, think that his agenda is what is best for America. In both cases it turns out to be the erosion of conservatism vis-a-vis politics.

Just like Carter was a creation of Nixon, BHO is a creation of GWB.

I consider GWB a RINO

Bush is no longer president. Why don’t you stop venting your spleen on him and focus on the Marxist who really is president right now?

One of the reasons we ended up with such a lousy candidate in the presidential elections is that certain self-proclaimed conservatives were so obssessed with hating Bush that they completely ignored the need to deal with the real evil that was looming up behind them. This isn’t the time for trying to beat Bush over the head one last time.

O and a constitutional view of congress as well. Study the constitution on this point. This is why Ron Paul is not the leader of the GOP.
