Rush Rattles Obama the Whiner’s Cage
Townhall.com ^ | March 1, 2009 | Doug Giles

Evidently Obama the Whiner can’t work his socialistic voodoo if Rush Limbaugh keeps free thinking and running his mouth off. Dammit, Rush, you’re ruining Obama’s ability to cast his spell! Barack’s aversion to Rush reminds me of how my brother never liked using the Ouija board when I was around because my presence always “grieved the spirits.”

Yep, if Limbaugh unleashes his First Amendment rights, the President cannot make manifest his mucked-up machinations he learned as a pup sitting in Saul Alinsky’s literary lap (which means that Obamaland cannot be built). This would be too funny if it wasn’t so pathetically sad and a prophetically bad precursor of the mitigating muzzle Obama would like to strap on the conservative mouth.

In contrast to Obama’s bleat last week, hearken back to days of yore when 43 was in office. Dubya got some “work done,” if I’m not mistaken, and he had everybody and their rabid dog railing against him 24/7 from every conceivable sector of the MSM. Please note: Bush didn’t whine about it and call on the carping clods to cease and desist their vitriol because he couldn’t “kill terrorists if Keith keeps complaining.”

O and a constitutional view of congress as well. Study the constitution on this point. This is why Ron Paul is not the leader of the GOP.

Perception is reality...after three negative Bush posts, one can only assume your loyalties lie in the other direction. You might get a lot of things from me, but one of them WON'T be an apology.

Okay, I perceive you to to be a mindless dolt.

That’s not even remotely true. I don’t have to know how I got an infection to know how to cure it. “Gosh, my finger is cut and all red and infected. I better figure out how it got that way before I apply antibiotic ointment and a bandaid.”

That's not even remotely analogous. One is a political movement based on philosophy, personal morals and social science and the other simple biology.

However, if you want to we can use it. If you have ever cut your finger before and it got infected then you SHOULD have learned how to prevent a second infection following a cut. If you didn't then you are one of several things: Intellectually incapable of understanding how it happened. Or, too lazy to find out how. Or, believe that you are infallible and it could not possibly happen to you.

All of which represent the mindset of the American electorate. Either we learned that conservatism is good for us. Or, we were intellectually lazy, incapable of understanding the difference or believed that Obama wasn't really all that bad.

All three cases can be applied to the GOP.

Under Bush the GOP was too lazy to force him toward conservatism and they though they had it licked and could not lose. Add to that that the GOP didn't, ever, try to educate the American electorate about conservatism it led us to Obama.

There is ample evidence that Bush's laissez faire attitude toward ANY push TOWARDS conservatism turned the GOP into a schizophrenic party.

Look at the results. We have formerly conservative pundits writing almost daily how WE have to become like them. Some are even siding up with Obama. We have conservative voters who don't have any idea what the GOP stands for anymore.

This is kind the whole point of Rush's speech. The idea of conservatism is not dead. The idea cannot die but it must be more than an idea. We need people to espouse it not just talk about it.

Imagine the difference if Bush, with a GOP Congress, had gone on the offensive like Obama has? Would we have suffered through that horrible inauguration speech in January?

Is it "Lack of Reading Comprehension Day" on FR? Where did I say that?

You do realize that I was responding to Man50D's statement: "I couldn’t help but think watching Limbaugh speak at CPAC last night the socialists must be bouncing off the walls listening to him"?

I was, as was he, referring to socialists.

See what I mean about lack of comprehension?

Is it “Lack of Normal Socialization and Communication Skills Day” on FR? If you are bitter and upset, maybe you should take a break from posting for a while.

That was such a stupid thing for W to have done. Why should any politician pay heed to people who would never vote for him/her?

No, FAR from stupid. Rather, CLASSY.

The President is President of ALL the people. That's the difference between a stateman and a politician. Check out George Washington's bio sometime. He also was a statesman.

George Bush was/is pure class. You may disagree with some of his positions, but he is class.

I didn’t say your perception has any moral or factual standing, but it’s a free country and you can think/say/perceive anything you want...at least until your buddy CommieBama gets done with it.

I saved it too. Thank you so much.

Also I liked his line about how Obama was not trying to help by inspiring those at the bottom, but by destroying those at the top. (paraphrasing)

Will you ever give it up (bashing Bush)?" Folks won't give it up till the Bush admirers keep insisting he was a conservative and leaves a great legacy. Leni

I admire Mr. Bush for some things and disagree with him on others. Just like with members of my family.
Mr. Bush had some conservative attributes and some moderate ones. He's not the president anymore.
Can we get past that?

Because I am tired of the adulation for a man the led us to Obama. It's also important to know how we got here. If we can't see how we got to Obama there is no way we will get rid of him or his ilk. We certainly would not have done so with McCain.

Take off the blinders. It is certainy Not President Bush's fault we now have a socialist as a President. Look elsewhere.

That's pretty funny. Blinders. I bet you don't even see the irony.

I knew full well what you were talking about, raybbr. I asked you a question, I was not rude or profane.

You answered me with what I regarded as a very rude response.

I understand you have had personal challenges in your life recently, and are probably as dissatisfied and upset about the current political situation as many of the rest of us are.

If you cannot leave it at the door and engage in civil discourse in this forum, I suggest you take a break.

Obama blasted Rush within days of being sworn in. It was a foolish move for Barry - it diminished him, and elevated Rush.

Such a boneheaded move from a guy heralded as so ‘cerebral.’ I’ll take it!

This is what you asked:

Are you suggesting that Rush Limbaugh not speak out?

How on earth did you discern that from (speaking about socialists) "For some. For the majority it's going to get them agitated and make a hue and cry for Rush's voice to be stilled. Watch the pols go all out against him."?

Don't you think they are going to clamor for Rush to be silenced? Don't you think the socialist politicians are going to gang up on him?

I never used the pronoun "I" in that statement and yet you somehow glean that I think Rush should stop talking. How is that possible?

“Will you ever give it up?

NO
What purpose will it serve?”
To help explain why we ended up with the Obamination.
Bush turned millions of people against republicans with his big spending and his open border policies.

Are you a Republican?
Do you think you're representative of Republicans?
Do you think most Republicans, those of us busy trying to hold down a job or run a business are interested in hating the former president?
Do you think that every thread (this one was about Rush) needs to end up as a bash Bush thread?

If most Republicans, and I don't believe they do, share your contempt for the former president, then the Republicans will be finished as a major party.
But, that may just be your goal?

“Are you a Republican? I am a CONSERVATIVE
Do you think you’re representative of Republicans? NO
Do you think most Republicans, those of us busy trying to hold down a job or run a business are interested in hating the former president? I don’t know or care
Do you think that every thread (this one was about Rush) needs to end up as a bash Bush thread? Maybe not every thread, but everyone needs to know how we ended up with Obama so we can keep it from happening again and again.

Do you think this is a Republican website?

Well, I don't know of a national Conservative party at this time.

Do you belong to a party?
Maybe you could start you're own party. Oh wait, you're antisocial so you probably couldn't attract much of a following. I understand because I'm a bit antisocial as well.
Not looking for an agrument, just trying to point out that we're wasting time and personal capital bashing Mr. Bush.
