Pin a tea bag to your lapel!
Add me to your list, please.
See you there.
John and Ken, KFI Los Angeles is discussing this event now.
OK, perfectly obvious though possibly stupid question...
How did you get a venue and permit?
In Houston I’m being told it is not possible to get a permit for a venue without posting at least a $2000 fee or more.
I’m sure all the libs do this all the time.
Is it going to be at the fountain on the west side of the County Administration Center which is just across the street from the Star of India?
Because it’s all on public land, public parking lot is across the street, and there’s no need for public restrooms, no security...they won’t even close the street, no parade, etc.
Sorry, don’t understand your answer.
Did you get a permit and did it cost anything?
Same here, public land, no security, no restrooms needed, no street closures, no parade etc. Still want more than $2,000.
Just a simple public assembly.
The info I got about a permit is that as long as we are in the city limits and plan a peaceful assembly, we don't need a permit, just notification.
Our area may fall under the jurisdiction of the Harbor Police so the main organizer has a call in but isn't anticipating any problems.
You’ve been added!
Remember that girl I told you all about where she and I had signs out at the San Diego Convention Center (her's said, "DREAM TEAM" and mine was a W2004 sign) and W drove by and looked right at both of us and WAAAAVED and smiiiiiiled. It was GREAT. She's coming!!!
I’m not sure of the exact spot but it was my understanding that we are on the same side of the street as the Star.
I’m so glad she’s coming!
I just talked to Dawn, the TCOT organizer of the SD Tea Party. She was on Roger Hedgecock (sp?) today. I missed it but she said he let her talk for a good bit of time. :)
The official press releases are going out tomorrow and we will be in touch with all local area College Republicans tomorrow as well. Also, Dawn has about 100 people confirmed to be there. I'm hoping FR can add mightily to those numbers!!
Last, a woman that owns a T-Shirt business has made up a SD Tea Party logo and will be selling some Fri. How cool is that!
As I find out more, I'll pass it on.
I’m still hoping we can get something organized closer to home, ie, San Franciso or Sacramento, but if there’s nothing definite going by Wednesday maybe we should make plans to join you in San Diego.
U.S. Constitution Amendment I: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
EXCELLENT!!!!
That would be awesome! We’d love to have you!
