If it's any consolation, I was there in '83 and experienced exactly the same thing.

We need a fence and mines like Israel has with Lebanon.

And if I hear any more crapola about being nice to 'immigrants' and avoiding 'nativism', I'll curse the person out in French (my first language) or Polish (my wife's first language).

My parents and my wife were 'immigrants' who came here legally and obeyed the law when they worked. These people are criminals.

DJF, checking around the fenceline, it appears (so far) this is bum scoop , and it looks to me as if the origin is one of the “Ron Paul-supportive” sites (which probably have nothing to do with the good doctor.)

I wonder sometimes if some of this stuff isn’t custom designed to sell guns and ammo ?

From what I’ve been hearing, it has become a Sellers’ market-with gear selling at list or premium-and flying off the shelves.

Hmmm...

Would he act against Texas, claiming Texas has no right or authority to defend itself?

I don't think Texans would listen, if Zero said that.

“’A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state. the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed’....2nd Amendment..US Constitution “

Since the liberals keep telling us that the 2nd Amendment refers only to having a militia, I don’t know what keeps Texas from organizing its own large militia...to take care of threats from the south, or elsewhere.

It would have to be well-regulated, though.

Time to call in the drones....errrr...not the Obama voter kind.

I read the other day that Americans are putting drones on the border.

The Canadian Border.

I fear that pro-illegal/pro-NAU Governor Perry will try to stall and backpedal from this.

If the shooting crosses the border into Texas, and civilians start organizing and shooting back, all of the stupid politics of pandering will go out the window overnight.

The American people are like dry grass with a blistering sun bearing down, and a hot wind blowing - especially here in Texas. A break-out of real violence on the Tex-Mex border will set that grass ablaze across the state.

If that happens, the Guv had better stand up and do his best impression of Sam Houston real quick, or he's gone.

Thanks for the link. Some interesting comments on the discussion board there. Quite a few in English.

The reporter does a pretty good job. Takes a while to load the video, but at 41 seconds in there is a sustained gunfight that should be heard by anyone that thinks having a few rounds of ammo in the basement is going to get them through turmoil like this.

I was in uniform in a gas station a couple of days ago, every person in there (about 20) spoke Spanish. I did not hear a lick of English.

Not quite that bad, but I've had similar experiences in the Central Texas area. They don't even pretend they are here legally; they congregate in large groups and give the rest of us their gang "evil eye." At the mall or large retailers like WalMart they are present in force with attitudes. Don't get in their way and don't cross them. Even the women are pushy and arrogant. And as you say,"not a lick of English." We Texans have been warning about this for years and now they are well on their way to owning our state and thumb their noses at us.

Ha! The American people are like reeds in the swamp; bending whichever way the wind blows. Or, more accurately, they're like suckling piglets eager to get their share of the Federal teet.

“If that happens, the Guv had better stand up and do his best impression of Sam Houston real quick, or he’s gone. “

He will, and believe me I despise him (he wants tolls on all of our highways...or at least wanted them, until he FINALLY got the message - but he’s still selling control of our highways to foreigners...go figure).

Anyway, he also wants to get re-elected. He’s toast if he lets the violence spill over and he has to know that.
