There are so many mice in one Florida county courthouse that they've been seen falling from ceiling tiles. One judge at the Palm Beach County Courthouse calls it an infestation. Some staffers say they check their handbags for stowaways before leaving the building each day.
Court employees and lawyers say the rodents scuttle down corridors, munch legal papers and scratch behind the walls. Last week, one mouse ran around a courtroom floor for an hour during a burglary trial.
The courthouse facilities manager says he's put out a few dozen traps to capture the rodents. He says he's not sure there has been an uptick in mice lately but says they're getting more press than they deserve.
Waiting for PETA to organize a protest....
Okay, oh, this is a shell. That.. to me, this is just me talking. It looks like a helmet for a mouse. Now, that sounds crazy, right? But, if you ask the mice about it they don't say nuttin’. I mean, they run the other way. At first I was just fishing with the helmet thing, but then from the mouse... reaction I got, I.. got a little more.. concerned.
If the situation is as described...people who’d let that happen are too stupid to be holding court.
Oh for hegven’s sake. Instead of whining about it go down to the local Farmer’s C0-OP and pick up about $20.00 in bar bait for rats and mice. problem solved.
If you give a mouse a courthouse...
From Huckleberry Hound show....The cartoon is remembered for Mr. Jinks' rhyming lament, "I hate those meeces to pieces!".
Hungry cats, please.
Do NOT feed the cats. The mice will suffice.
Sadly,
too likely.
My Rattie, Ruby, is killing at least one gopher per day these days. She’s such a little professional at it, too. A joy to watch.
