"Obama is a radical communist and I think it is becoming clear. That is what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it is coming true. He is going to destroy this country and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist." - Alan Keyes

Ok EXACTLY what are we going to do ? I’m not being sarcastic here. We HAVE to ALL organize . We need a leader and a group of people with serious organizational skills. This Tea Party idea sounds like a good first step by it HAS to be a HUGE HUGE event , I mean MILLIONS of people . I’ve already joined another site that is promoting the idea but no sure how far they have gone into planning it .
If we dont organize then this is all a moot point. Obama has FOUR YEARS left and look at the damage he’s already done in a month .Think about it. We MUST promote a nation wide protest that will get world wide attention.
That's not true.
Senate Republican Primary Election Results, Maryland, 1992:
I guess you'll find this pretty meaningful.James H. Berry 3% John J. Bishop 4% Joseph I. Cassily 8% Joyce Friend-Nalepka 3% Herman J. Hannan 1% Stuart Hopkins 2% *Alan L. Keyes 46% Martha S. Klima 10% William H Krehnbrink 1% Scott L. Meredith 2% Ross Z. Pierpont 6% Edward R. Shannon 2% S Rob Sobhani 6% Romie A Sonqer 3% Eugene R Zarwell 3%Mr Keyes had 95,706 votes or 46 percent in the Republican contest with all 1,593 precincts reporting. His nearest challenger in the 15 candidate field was Baltimore County state Del. Martha Klima who received 20,075 votes or 10 percent.
I agree with you, too, that Obama is far from unbeatable now by a real conservative who can win the war of ideas.
I'm not sure I'd call waxing the likes Martha Klima and Eugene R. Zarwell "meaningful".
I'll grant Keyes won a primary -- which was indeed news to me. But does that really mean anything. Because nobody outside of family and neighbors ever heard of the other 14...
You said Keyes destroyed him. A destroyed man does not go on to win.
I never said that Obama's arguments were superior. You should be careful. Interesting. You come out with a stand, I challenge your stand, you distort my position and then demand that I prove that distorted position.
Keyes is standing up a speaking the truth with great passion. He might not win but he is standing tall for truth now. He needs your support, prayers, and thanks.
The destroyed man certainly can go in to win if in a state with a hopelessly liberal bias. Illinois is such a state. The debates had no effect upon the outcome, nor would one expect them to.
That is the point of debate. That is it's purpose by definition. To present opposing views in a reasonable fashion.
The intellectually superior argument is the winning argument.
Present Keyes vs. Obama to this nation instead of the hapless inhabitants of my home state and I would venture to say that your error would become immediately apparent.
You were the one who said it would.
Personally, all I care about is what the man says. He's right on the mark.
You were the one who said it would.
Well, if a football team goes 1-10 on the season, but beats the crap out of the West Concordia School for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind, does it really mean anything?
Non sequitur.
The outcomes of elections depend on the people.
I love Keyes. I know why he ran in Illinois. I can’t blame
him for it one bit. But he kind of branded himself as a
professional campaigner. I can also appreciate why he left
the party. But like Ralph Nader. No matter how good his
intentions. A third party turns into a spoiler.
After this last election. We have found that we could have
used a couple of Keyes in Maine and one in Pennsylvania.
Ditto that.......!
We shall see, what we shall see..........
Ah, the old "Don't vote for the guy who walks the walk, vote for the poser because he's a Republican" trick.
I am sorry to be snide (not really, as snide is like a second nature), but that old saw just doesn't work any more. Do what is right, not what is expedient. Had we been doing so all the way along, we would be in a far different place today, with both houses full of Reaganites like Dr. Keyes.
I did vote for Ambassador Keyes in 1999. I will vote for him again.
I know more RINO’s who are afraid of him right now than Democrats. Because he can fundamentally change their party.
Dude. You're talking about a guy who couldn't get even 1% of the primary vote in Texas. That's Texas for crying out loud!
Never mind that he's renounced his membership in the Republican party altogether.
The level of self-delusion on this site has risen to new heights.
Dude..I’m on your side.
RE “I’m thinking you don’t know much about the power of the media filter to distort everything.”(the previous reply to you)
Let’s look at his point : “It’s all the media’s fault. And they are not going away so I guess it’s hopeless. Let’s all boycott the elections. And, lets demand our elected Rs call Obama a communist in public and turn their backs on him to camera. What? That might make republicans more unpopular? Just blame the media.”
Seriously : the media is keeping Obama a float and we need to get the message out on what he is doing and how bad it is. But name calling like Keyes and certain freepesr want will just backfire.
Bump.
You can watch it on You Tube too.
