‘’When I was on my way there, the Secret Service called me and said they weren’t going to ransack my house or anything ... they just wanted to (walk through the house) and make sure I wasn’t a part of any hate groups.”
I would have told the Secret Service, who I greatly respect, to kiss my ass.
OK, so we can now accost liberals for being part of a hate group, right?
Really, what relevance has that to anything? Are we now required to like everyone? I hate communists. Better put me on the list.
With all due respect to the officers, "so what if he were?"
"It is beyond debate that freedom to engage in association for the advancement of beliefs and ideas is an inseparable aspect of the "liberty" assured by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, which embraces freedom of speech. Of course, it is immaterial whether the beliefs sought to be advanced by association pertain to political, economic, religious or cultural matters, and state action which may have the effect of curtailing the freedom to associate is subject to the closest scrutiny."IANAL-- NAACP v. Alabama, 357 U.S. 449 (1958)
Heaven forbid, they might have found an American Flag, and a framed copy of the Bill of Rights, or Declaration or something "hateful" to the current admin like that.
Don't forget, O hasn't had time to replace the entire Secret Service yet. The Men in Black were probably shaking their heads, laughing up their sleeves, rolling their eyes and trying not to wink and nudge the guy. I looooove the Secret Service "agent Frowny" who protected the Palins (he is just behind her between her and the "COUNTRY FIRST" sign).
That said, this is no laughing matter. The only upside to left-wing oppression is that it finally gives traditionalists the opportunity to mount lawsuits against them.
Yes, but your presence here proves that you are. /s
*jaw drop* Dear Lord...
