An Oklahoma City police officer wrongly pulled over a man last week and confiscated an anti-President Barack Obama sign the man had on his vehicle.
The officer misinterpreted the sign as threatening, said Capt. Steve McCool, of the Oklahoma City Police Department, and took the sign, which read "Abort Obama, not the unborn."
Chip Harrison said he was driving to work when a police car followed him for several miles and then signaled for him to pull over.
''I pulled over, knowing I hadn't done anything wrong," Harrison said in a recent phone interview.
When the officer asked Harrison if he knew why he had been pulled over, Harrison said he did not.

this hyper-sensitive society we live in
Only hypersensitivity I perceive is if the other guy is to the Left and I am to the Right.
How about "we" take down the license numbers of the vehicles we see with "hate" signs on them and report it to our State DMV for investigation?
Especially those bumperstickers that use the marijuana leaf or "hemp" advertisements.

Yeah, and Id also love to have the sculpture of Winston Churchill that Britain gave the U.S. after 9/11 and Barack Hussein Obama reportedly sent back to them cause HE didnt want it. If thats true, I suppose its cause he imagines himself a better man than Churchill.
WHAT? The sculpture wasn't given to BHusseinObama, it was given to the USofA and should have been donated to the Smithsonian, not sent back to England.
I cannot believe that BHusseinObama took even ONE U.S. History course in his entire education or he'd know better. I doubt he's read the entire Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Constitution, Amendments, Bill of Rights, and definitely NOT The Federalist Papers.
Caution
Hate Speech
BHusseinObama is a total IDIOT . . . that's where his "ID" is . . . he'd be an "IOT" otherwise. How can ANYONE be as stupidly ignorant and idiotic as BHusseinObama and his socialist, leftist, liberal "democratic" supporters???

If questioned as to why I was so concerned, I would tell them that too many bad guys out there are impersonating LE these days, and ya just cant be too careful before opening your door to just anyone! And, I would be doing my very best to look at them suspiciously, as if they were impersonators.
Before I'd let them in, I'd ask permission to photograph them. If they refused, I'd ask to photograph their badges and names. If they refused, I'd use your argument.

The Secret Service acted properly. They received a tip from local law enforcement that the president had received a threat. They checked it out, found nothing, and moved on. I'd argue that they'd be remiss NOT to check it out.
Call me a romantic fool. I just sent this to the Secret Service email account:
This is probably not going to be answered by you, but I am concerned that local law enforcement all across the USofA is using the Secret Service to harass certain individuals who do not support the current President.
My Question: During President Bush's 8 years, how many persons (just a number) have been investigated because local law enforcement (anywhere in the USofA) has reported to the Secret Service Agency that the person has/had a bumper sticker on their car OR who have/had signs in his yard which have been or could have been interpreted as harmful threats to President Bush?
What I failed to tell them is that I have a file with the FBI because of my father's extremely high security rating while his company had contracts to work on various weapons or airplanes for the US Government. They know my name, address, etc. And I have a sign in my yard that says:
Are U Better Off Now Than When Bush Was President?

"The Secret Service went to his house???" A 10-min walkthru is mostly a visual walkthrough to see if you have a swastika flag tacked to your living room wall -- or worse yet, an American flag tacked to it. Or a literature table with subversive pamphlets on it. Or worse yet, copies of the Bill of Rights and mini-constitutions to give away.
Or a stack of chairs for political meetings, or worse yet, for bible studies. Or an AK47 over the fireplace mantle. You know, the usual Waco paraphenalial like 50-calibers stacked in the corner and boxes of hand grenadese and God forbid, ash trays.

This wasn't an issue of the software program scrutinizing the site for combinations of letters or words for hateful (whatever that means) or obscene language. Because if that were the case, Democratic underground would be blocked (Some of the most disgusting, mean, threatening language can be found there).
It was a "politically correct" decision of someone in the company.

I remember that one. Obammy's advance strike force gearing up for some friendly neighborhood persuasion volunteer organizational calls.

That was both chilling and funny... well done.
You have to wonder what would arouse suspicion? I live in MD, so local politics and police forces are not necessarily on my side. A ‘ten minute walk-through’ of my house would reveal to a normal person that I’m a history buff and a patriot... and not exactly a neat freak.
But to someone with an agenda, what would my three (thus far legal) firearms, Gadsden, Confederate Battle, and 13-star Colonial flags suggest? What would my collections of Coulter, Cashill, Popper and Ayn Rand denote? The FR and Zombietime bookmarks on my PC? My old battered VHS copy of Red Dawn?
The time is approaching when personal privacy and security are going to become a much more serious issue.

"The time is approaching when personal privacy and security are going to become a much more serious issue." Yup. The time is already here, with Obammy's neighborhood peace force just about in place to feret out spies (patriots). Many pulling double duty as paid informants, such as public service folks, cable guys, phone company people, meter readers, mailmen, public health officials, volunteer in-home old folks helpers, just about anyone who gets paid by Obammy's tax funds. As rabid as the obammyites are, you can bet any one of them will be honored to be chosen as spies and informers.
You are not going to know who you can trust. Even your own kin who received the deevine touch of de lawd bammy

what about the guy who had a dummy of sarah palin in a noose at halloween hanging from his chimney....one could perceive that as a death threat and all the guy got was a phone call to take it down. i don’t recall this man ever getting a search of his home to make sure he didn’t want to assassinate a political candidate.

Oklahoma City Police Sergeant Phil Paz and officer Bryan Jones followed him for three miles, pulled him over, and confiscated the sign claiming that the U.S. Secret Service could construe this as a threat against President Obama.

Well, IF Obama DID act in such an arrogant, snotty manner, I’d have to agree with you. Of course, the MSM isn’t commenting on the report, so maybe it isn’t as bad as first reported. I’m just asking for the straight of it.
