Pornography is a downward spiraling process that if not stopped, will completely engulf, dehumanize, and eroticize an entire society. It starts with the objectification of the female body-—all users of porn are ‘users’ of someone elses’ body parts, btw-—moves ever downward to older youth, then to children, to babies, to animals, and even to objects. America looks increasingly like Carthage when Augustine arrived there. In his memorable words, in Carthage can be heard the ‘sizzling and frying of unholy loves’——anything went.

All defenders of Playboy, Hustler, etc., are in fact defending an ‘unholy right’ to use for their own personal gratification the objectified body parts of someone else.

Before man can do harm to another of his kind, he must first dehumanize (objectify) the other. In order that they could slaughter millions of people, the Soviets literally conditioned soldiers to view others as weeds, animals, pond scum, etc., as verified by the authors of The Black Book of Communism. Sex predators put themselves through the same unholy process. So do abortionists, and so do users of pornography.

Indeed. What doctor could perform an abortion if he sees the "fetus" as an actual baby? Who could put millions of people to death if he sees them as he sees himself?

Pornography does indeed objectify whoever or whatever is the subject of it. And for what purpose? A picture of a fire does not keep one warm.

Also, I doubt that 90% of Freepers subscribe to Penthouse or Playboy. For one thing, most Freepers are Christian and I suspect many or most of them are aware that thinking a thing is as bad for a Christian as actually doing it. (Matthew 5)

So my guess would be that many Freepers would avoid pornography though certainly they would be exposed to a lot of it anyway.
