Thank you so much for sharing your insights, dear spirited irish!

Before man can do harm to another of his kind, he must first dehumanize (objectify) the other. In order that they could slaughter millions of people, the Soviets literally conditioned soldiers to view others as weeds, animals, pond scum, etc., as verified by the authors of The Black Book of Communism. Sex predators put themselves through the same unholy process. So do abortionists, and so do users of pornography.

Indeed. What doctor could perform an abortion if he sees the "fetus" as an actual baby? Who could put millions of people to death if he sees them as he sees himself?

Pornography does indeed objectify whoever or whatever is the subject of it. And for what purpose? A picture of a fire does not keep one warm.

Also, I doubt that 90% of Freepers subscribe to Penthouse or Playboy. For one thing, most Freepers are Christian and I suspect many or most of them are aware that thinking a thing is as bad for a Christian as actually doing it. (Matthew 5)

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. - Matthew 5:27-28

So my guess would be that many Freepers would avoid pornography though certainly they would be exposed to a lot of it anyway.

I just love the way people love to put words into your mouth. I did NOT say 90% of Freepers subscribe to Playboy or Penthouse, my guess is that it is more like 5%. However, I would bet that 90% have looked at Playboy or Penthouse at one point or another. If these magazines are considered child pornography then they would have been in possession of child pornography. We all know (at least I hope so) that these magazines are not by any definition, child pornography, but this so-called “researcher” tried to say they were. She thus destroys all confidence in other research or positions she writes on.
