Sunday around 11:00 a.m. people from Plano to Houston, and even as far north as Nebraska, reported hearing a loud explosion and seeing debris falling from the sky. Many residents in Navarro and Hill counties reported that their houses shook along with the explosion.
In a conference call to local reporters, the FAA said they believe the cause of the explosion is two satellites that collided in space Tuesday. The American and Russian satellites collided 500 miles above the Siberian region of Russia.

Yes. 74. Who are those “puppies” registered to? Just curious.
From what I read, the Iridium bird was also near end of life cycle. Originally a system of commercial birds, later contracted for military SatPhone use.
There were already plans to de-orbit the birds. Think I read there were 74 total.
Heaven only know how many other satellites are up there. They are certainly not all ours anymore.
Bigger threat is a Nuclear Iran. The Krazy Mullas will use them, but Israel will destroy them before they do. Probably without our help now.
How long do you think Obozo will last in office?
. . . somewhat . . .
LOL.
THX.
without needing a nitwit to english dictionary.
belly laugh!
Thx.
too true, though.
Owned by Iridium-
Motorola Corp., which built, bankrolled and operated the $5.5 billion system, had said it would begin nudging the 560-kg satellites into decaying orbits this month in the absence of a buyer.(note- not from a recent article)
This report said 66 cross-linked birds.
Ice storm; wind storm; satellite collision debris storm. Why not!
Now this is gonna net us a funny remake of The Abyss.
Not the best of its type but thought provoking enough and certainly applicable to this thread.
Nuclear Iran is a problem for everyone—including its historical Persian and Arabian friends and foes alike. NO ONE gains anything by the further destabilization of the region and world beyond resulting from Tehran upping the ante with the nuke card. The Soviets and Americans both held life more sacred than death, so in its own absurdly frightening way M(utually) A(ssured) D(estruction) worked as a deterrent. On the other hand, when the greatest glory is to die for your “god” (small g), we have M(ost) A(ssured) D(etonation). Israel will do what Israel feels it must to prevent that. Bank on it.
As for how long the current POTUS remains in office, the clock says 1434 Days, 13 Hours, 14 minutes and change.
Butterflies -> tornadoes bump!
LOL! ....Be sure to keep that umbrella open.
They didn't hear the sound of the collision last Tuesday. What they heard was the crash debris reentering the atmosphere this morning.
Have not read it.
The next book in my stack is “The Final Move beyond Iraq” by Mike Evans. (Iran’s the next move)
Have not done much reading lately. Far too much family stuff going on.

Last week on Tuesday, the defunct Russian military satellite Cosmos 2251 slammed into the active U.S. communications satellite Iridium 33 as they flew about 490 miles (790 km) above Siberia.
The debris re-entered today, Sunday, over area from Texas to Kentucky.
Thanks, for the (specific) info....It actually "fragmented"...(sonic booms/lights streaking thru Atm.) about Friday (2-10) 10PM (EST) according to local reports...
Must have been pretty big debris.
It did, but they seem to believe that major chunks resulting from the collision are only re-entering today, over the Central Great Plains. Wish I'd known to go outside. Although I did see something coming down a couple of years ago. It was night and I looking in the other direction, when everything lit up. I thought, "oh shit, they've nuked Dallas or Fort Worth", but then I turned to look and saw a lighted trail in the sky to my northeast at least 60-70 degrees above the horizon. Multiple colors too, green and gold mostly.
Thanks for the link. Makes my mouth water just reading their webpage. :-)
Kind regards,
TL
