How about Tulsa, OK? It is an American Airlines hub and the conservative center of America, home of Senator’s Inhofe and Coburne, and Rep. John Sullivan.
St. Louis, MO checking in. I’m all for forming regional groups.
SF Bay area freepers may want to look into this organization to meet regularly. I joined this group last fall and attend their monthly meetings in Santa Clara.
Well there are several us in Maine and we have a couple of good conservative Republican legislators to work with.
I hope we can elect a couple more in 2010.
I can certainly come to NYC with a month’s notice.
Washington County, VA here, ditto for the regional groups
Definitely interested here in Orlando, but would feel overwhelmed and underqualified trying to start the organizing. Am more than willing to team up though!
Good to see more followup on this, Jim.
I’m going to see that the FR pages of California (OK, I live here), Texas, Florida and New York are infiltrated and put a link to this thread on each of them.
Want to ping the Michigan list?
Agreed - Regional is the better way to start.

At the time you posted the centralized FR meet weeks back, I posted re having state and county FR groups. Glad to see this has been picked up.
With different states and even counties within states have
different demographics, it is easier to focus on the needs for each area.
We need to get to know each other personally. Local networking is the key. Meet and know your local FReeper allies. Exchange phone numbers and email addresses. Build websites and mailing lists. Penetrate into other conservative or political groups. Educate and recruit. We take it back one assembly district, one city, one county, one state at a time. No, belay that. We do it simultaneously in each and every assembly district, city, county, congressional district and state in the entire country!
Go forth and DO it, y'all!!!
Who is in the Dallas metroplex besides me? We can do one here that would draw all of northeast Texas and probably southern Oklahoma.
I don’t have the Texas list, but please whoever does, put me on it and ping me, and let’s roll.
Jim, I think a PAC would be useful and likely turn out a lot more effective than we might believe in the beginning. A REAL conservative outlet, and alternative to the GOP. I would love to hear more.
I am looking into venues & possible education/entertainment opportunities for a West Virginia State FReeper Conference. I am gonna stick my butt in the wind for this one. Hope there’s enough interest.
Hey Jim, I’m up for Atlanta. Three hour ride from here.
FWIW, Atlanta is also home to Neal Boortz.
On each state board, there is offered the "To be notified of new messages in this locale, click here" option. When one clicks this on the MI board, a message pops up letting you know the document doesn't exist.
This has been hurting us in the Great Lake state since before the election. Many of us used to make great use of the MI board, particularly for local and state politics and networking. It's not just a matter of us being to lazy to peek in on the state board once in a while; without the instant notices, many of us literally forget that it's there.
Is there some way this can be fixed? I know we're not the only state having this particular problem. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
I’m up for a meeting in the SF East Bay, or any SF county.
