The White House has provided the use of a government airplane to a key Democratic senator in order to ensure the availability of what may prove to be the deciding 60th vote in favor of the $787 billion economic stimulus package.
Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has returned to his home state to attend a wake for his 88-year-old mother, who died February 2 from complications from leukemia. At the end of the wake, Brown will be flown from Mansfield, Ohio, to Andrews Air Force Base.
After he casts his vote, he will return to Ohio for his mother's funeral early Saturday.
The plane is being provided by the White House, Brown's office said, because the vote is considered "official business," and there are no commercial flights available that would allow him to cast the vote and return to Ohio for his mother's funeral Saturday morning.

If Brown had voted NAY, would he have had to walk home?
Queen Bee Pelosi's plane is taking her and cohorts on a week long European tour. They left today (Friday 13). I believe Drudge had an item on it.
I’m suprised Barack (piss be upon him) didn’t command the senator to delay his mother’s funeral like The One did with his “Typical white person” granny.
The Air Force doesn't have any 767s and you need to do some reading
During the past three or so weeks I’ve seen more abuse of power from the obama administration than I could ever imagine. Talk about the enemy of the state. There is a total disregard of the Constitution by obama and his progressive caucus comrades in the house. I don’t believe the so-called blue dogs are conservative about anything after seeing them vote in favor of the spending bill.
We have to mobilize and get conservatives elected in 2010.
NIXON IS SPINNING IN HIS GRAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Snopes also says that Obama is an American citizen. Yep. we should take snopes word for everything.
“IM SCREAMING BECAUSE THIS IS HUGE!”
“I just kept seeing gas and corporate jets and it was flying right over everyones head it seemed.”
It’s not unprecedented and it’s not illegal. Perhaps you can cite the specific Act or law that has been violated. All I see is a hypocritical White House and some possible bad PR but as you pointed out, I’m not particularly bright.
I am more angry at the 3 sell outs - without them this would not pass.
Time for them to spend those greenbacks while they're worth more than the paper they're printed on.
Party first, re-election second...country comes in around ten or eleven.
#1. Dear Leader and Community-Organizer-in-Chief-for-Life Barack Obama, list of offenses building rapidly
#2. James Buchanan, chose not to respond to the start of the Civil War
#3. Bill Clinton, perjury, abuse of power, and related offenses
#4. Richard Nixon, burglary and abuse of power
I expected the Affirmative Action "president" to make the top of the list of the worst leaders in our country's history, but not quite so quickly. Obama has now wasted more money in a few weeks than Bush did in his first 7 1/2 years. He has trampled the enumerated powers, the separation of powers, and the fundamentals under which the United States was formed. The scary part is that I think he's just getting warmed up - the big crimes against humanity are still in his future.
[We live in a fascist state.]
This is why we need a conservative party and the GOP is liberal lite.
And Nixon? He had the decency to resign and shut-up, so I think he's moving toward the middle of the pack.
“corporate jets as wasteful spending by corporations...”
Not to mention the great damage is costing to the environment, well, not a “biggie,” that’s the price we must paid for the Messiah.
Well yes, for them; “The end always justifies the means.”
And his name will live in infamy.
