this is sickening, it's going to hurt the pro-life movement, but then again, Jesus reached out to sinners and now the Pope has a perfect example in pelosi: abortion and failure to pay a living wage, both are sins that cry out to heaven.

I’m sure he’ll have stern words for her...in private...after which - the smiling photo op.

“...but then again, Jesus reached out to sinners...” Jesus also overturned the tables of the moneychangers in the temple. If Pelosi gets any kind if audience with the current Pope (of all popes!), we can stick a fork in the pro-life movement.

So far, every time Biden and Pelosi have opened there mouth in the last 2 years they have been sacked by the bishops.
I know this falls short of the public excommunication that so many Christians wish for, but I do think it has helped to educate Catholics and force them to be knowledgable on Church teaching of the subject. It has generated dialogue and activity among pther pro-life Christians
I actually think the Holy Father will have some very direct words for Pelosi.

My guess is that she will NOT. She’d rather spend OUR money enjoying herself in Italy......corrupt hypocrite!

Or return in an urn, after the lightning bolt strikes.
The best result would be she has a moment like St. Paul on the road to Damascus, and her heart is changed. I pray for her.
To: anniegetyourgun
I think the Holy Father will tell her privately that she should no longer receive communion as long as she advocated abortion.
I do not think he will make it public.

I have a lot of respect for this Pope. I am not Catholic but I consider his statements and teachings so far to have been a powerful force for good in the world. If he meets with Pelosi without issuing any kind of rebuke I would have to reevaluate his standing. Christ welcome the sinners but he made it no secret that he loved them despite their sins and that because of his mercy their greivous actions could be overcome if they would but repent.

I’m not so sure. Pope Benedict is much more of a tell it like it is type of pope; not so much a sugar-coated one.

"Reports have surfaced that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a self-avowed "Catholic" adamant abortion supporter, intends to head a delegation to Euope that will meet with Pope Benedict XVI." Is she planning to scold the Pope for lifting the SSPX excommunications?
To: Coleus
Lightning should strike her before she reaches the Pope. It would sure send a message to the other so-called catholics favoring abortion.

We pray You, O Lord, humble the pride of our enemies and let the might of Your right hand crush their arrogance. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit...Amen.
I found the above in my St. Joseph missal and think it's a good all-around prayer re the mess we're in with Clinton3 administration.
To: Coleus
this is sickening Apparently you skipped this sentence.
It has not been determined when Ms. Pelosi plans to meet the Pope.
