'They are destroying the engine that creates wealth, the private sector'
Rush Limbaugh Talk-radio giant Rush Limbaugh is blasting the so-called economic stimulus plan of President Obama and the Democrat-led Congress, calling it an assault on capitalism intentionally designed to harm the private sector and lead to bigger government. "This is a full-fledged attack on capitalism, and the leftists Democrats have been seeking this for the longest time," Limbaugh said on his program this afternoon. "That's why they can't stop themselves. It is Christmas morning every day for these people. There's nobody that can stop them."

Yes indeed!
He was definitely animated this morning.
Wth?
I hope that Limbaugh understands that if he continues to stand in the way of the libs and RINOS......he can be removed.
Don’t think some of them are not thinking about it....either through the “fairness doctrine”...or physically.
There’s much at stake...they are not gonna let one overweight radio jock keep them from their money and power.
Just sayin’
That part caught my eye as well.
If we take our government back, it needs to be much smaller, less powerful and OFF OUR BACKS.
I'm with you on this one.
You got that right.
I hope Rush is watching his six (keep your head down, eyes open and watch your six).
I was thinking of that too. Seems strange that Rush would say that. Maybe out of content?
Probably talking more philosophical as in a government that stands for the Constitution and is more pro-military and moralistic. More of a Reagan type all around government. Just my take on it. I think he was a little bit hyped up with his words because of the events unfolding. :-)
Just pro-military can be dangerous.
That said, if he's advocating a strong national defense, including actual defense of our borders, then by all means, I wholeheartedly agree.
and moralistic.
Whose morals?
If Rush is favoring statism a la Huckabee, I want no part of it.
“Bigger, more powerful, stronger government” I thought that is what Bush was doing with running up the national debt. Now, anything Obama spends, he can say well look at my prior example.
Also, I am not clear on Rush’s argument re capitalism. Caterpillar Corp. just announced that they plan to start rehiring as soon as the stimulous bill is signed. It would not surprise me if there were others with similar thoughts. Time will tell of course.
Allegra, I saw info you provided on the recent election in Iraq. It was very moving. How do things feel now that a little time has passed.
:^)
